This qualification is suitable for people from the diverse range of roles within the infrastructure industry, including: Asphalt Surfacing; Chipseal Surfacing; Civil Works and Utilities; Civil Plant Management; Civil Works; Demolition; Pavement Surfacing; Roadmarking; Road Works; Rural Contracting; Water; and Wastewater, who have elected to progress into contract management roles within the infrastructure industry. People awarded this qualification are able to: interpret contract documents for planning an infrastructure works project; carry out infrastructure works contract estimating, tendering, and related procedures; develop and implement a project plan to deliver on an infrastructure works contract, and demonstrate knowledge of infrastructure works contracts. The National Certificate in Infrastructure Works (Contract Management) (Level 5) [Ref: 1653] may build on the National Certificate in Business (First Line Management) (Level 3) [Ref: 0743], and/or the National Certificate in Business (First Line Management) (Level 4) [Ref: 0649], and may lead to the National Certificate in Infrastructure Works Supervision (Level 5) with optional strands in Civil Plant Management, Civil Works, Pavement Surfacing, Roadmarking, Road Works, and Rural Contracting [Ref: T436], and/or Infrastructure Asset Management qualifications.
