admitted to the TWU Graduate School and the Teacher Education Special Education Graduate Program, the student
should meet with a Special Education faculty member to complete a Bilingual Educational Diagnostician Certification
worksheet.

Bilingual certification
Special Education certification
Three years’ teaching experience as teacher of record by completion of program (service record on file)
o Prior to your last 15 hours (i.e., 5 courses) and admission to your first assessment course (i.e., EDSP
5833 or 5843), you MUST have two years of teaching experience completed. You will be required to
email the Department of Teacher Education to indicate your acceptance of entrance into the
Educational Diagnostician Certification Program (and you will need to submit your service record).
EDSP 5003: Psychology of Exceptional Children or an introductory course in special education (undergraduate or
graduate level)
