Spelling and Vocabulary List 12
Due: Thursday, October 27
Directions: This is your spelling and vocabulary contract for the week. Your grade will be based on
the number of activities you complete. When doing your activities, put the bold heading as a label
on the top of your paper, so I know what contract choices you completed. All spelling words must be
spelled correctly to get full credit. Both vocabulary activities are required. Vocabulary words will not
be tested for spelling.

Spelling Activities -- Need 60 points
฀ 10 points- Zoo Revue: Draw a picture of a zoo which contains each of the animals.

Label the animals, or the areas where they live.
10 points – Super Sentences: Do the Super Sentences activity from your book.
10 points - Double Doodle: Hold two different colored markers, crayons, or pens in
your hand. Print the words in your best handwriting.
10 points – Cursive Words: Write each of your spelling words neatly in cursive.
10 points –ABC Order: Put your spelling words in ABC order.
20 points – UPPER and lower: Write your spelling words two times each. The first
time, write each word in UPPERCASE letters. The second time, write your words in
lowercase letters.
Vocabulary Words-- Need 40 points
Note: we will not be using the vocabulary in the spelling book this week
฀ 10 points -- Do the attached Vocabulary Worksheet
Make an Index Card for each vocabulary word. Write the word on the front and the
definition on the back. Have your mom or dad quiz you every night and initial:
