November 16, 2015 Attention: MARP Providers Subject: Contract Extension, Reporting Requirement Changes Contract Extension We will be exercising the renewal option of the MARP Agreement for a final one (1) year period. Renewal contracts and updated Reference Manuals will be issued to providers prior to November 30, 2015. Please note the following modification to the Agreement, relating to Reporting Requirements (below). Reporting Requirements In order to more accurately document the activities of each MARP referral, we are moving away from having every MARP report submitted as a ‘Discharge Report’. Effective immediately, please title your MARP reports according to the service provided – MARP Assessment Report, MARP Reassessment Report, MARP Progress Report, or MARP Discharge Report. Specifically: 1) For MARP Assessments, if subsequent visits are expected, please title your report ‘MARP Assessment Report’ and include the index code MARPAR in the footer. If no subsequent visits are expected (i.e. this is the first and likely the only assessment for this worker), please title your report ‘MARP Discharge Report’ and include the index code MARPDR in the footer. 2) For MARP Subsequent Visits, if further subsequent visits are expected, please title your report ‘MARP Progress Report’ and include the index code MARPPR in the footer. 2015-85 Page 1 of 2 | If no further visits are expected, please title your report ‘MARP Discharge Report’ and include the index code MARPDR in the footer. 3) For MARP Reassessments, if subsequent visits are expected, please title your report ‘MARP Reassessment Report’ and include the index code 83B328 in the footer. If no subsequent visits are expected (i.e. this is likely the only assessment for this worker), please title your report ‘MARP Discharge Report’ and include the index code MARPDR in the footer. You will notice the Document Index choices in the Portal have been updated. Please use the appropriate Document Index to submit your MARP Assessment, Reassessment, Progress, and Discharge Reports through the Portal. This step is important as it will ensure your MARP reports show up on the claim files with the correct titles. Finally, we will be using these updated report titles to more accurately monitor KPI’s for the MARP Program. Please begin using these titles immediately, and note that as of January 1, 2016, failure to use these updated report titles and Document Index choices in the Portal will result in false KPI reporting for your clinic. We sincerely thank all of you for your continued commitment to assessing injured workers, and we look forward to another year of working together!
