Browser Information
Supported Browsers & Browser Requirements
Sharonview Online Banking uses a new technology platform that has been designed using modern web
technologies like HTML5 and CSS3 in order to deliver a visually rich experience while still making the
experience flexible and accessible. Sharonview Online Banking is available on most modern browsers and
has been tested to function with the following browsers:

Microsoft Internet Explorer 10 (note: you may experience intermittent performance issues which
will be resolved by mid-December)

Other modern browsers like Opera have not been used to test this experience, so you may encounter
issues if using these browsers. However, given that the experience is designed using modern web
technologies and that these modern browsers implement the technologies well, it’s highly likely that you
may have a favorable experience with these browsers.
At this time Sharonview Online Banking has not been optimized for mobile and tablet devices and their
browsers. Parts of the online banking experience may function within this environment, but you are highly
likely to experience problems using these devices. It is recommended that the Sharonview mobile app be
downloaded for use on smartphones and tablets.

Google’s Chrome browser and Mozilla’s Firefox browser are frequently being updated with the latest versions. We will continue to support the latest versions
of these browsers and any issues will be documented, reported, and resolved for the optimal experience we provide our members.

Apple’s Safari browsers are offered on both Mac OSX and Windows operating systems but will only be fully supported on Mac OSX systems for our Internet
Banking platform.

Unsupported Browsers
We have focused our support on the most modern browsers so that our solutions deliver a great
customer experience by utilizing the latest web standards and technologies. Therefore, the minimum
supported browser version is currently Microsoft Internet Explorer Version 8 (IE8). As a
result, it is highly likely that using unsupported browsers will lead to a poor user experience. To ensure
that users of Microsoft’s Internet Explorer have a solid experience, we check the user’s browser upon
login to see if an unsupported version of Internet Explorer is being used. If we detect an older version, we
will present the following message:
You are using an unsupported browser
Please be advised that your current Internet Explorer version is no longer supported
with our online banking platform. Please use the latest version of Internet Explorer
to ensure an excellent experiences enhanced with the latest security protection
available on your browser. Please be aware that online banking will no longer work
with the version of Internet Explorer. Update your browser now in order to use
online banking.

Opening the Settings Page
You can open the Settings page by clicking on the icon with three stacked horizontal lines to the right of
the address bar; this will open up a dropdown menu, and Settings is located to the bottom of the screen.

In Content Settings, please ensure the following options are selected:

Cookies: Allow local data to be set (recommended).
•
Cookies: Uncheck option Block third-party cookies and data.
•
Javascript: Allow all sites to run Javascript (recommended).
•
Pop-ups: Allow all sites to show pop-ups.
•
Pop-ups: If you do not wish to enable pop-ups for all websites then you may navigate to Manage
exceptions button, a new window will appear where you can input http://www.sharonview.org and
set Behavior to Allow.

Clearing Google Chrome Settings
This section provides you with step-by-step instructions to delete the temporary internet files (cache) and
cookies from your Google Chrome browser.
1. Navigate to Settings for the Google Chrome browser.
2. Click on Show advanced settings...to open up more settings for Google Chrome.
3. Under the Privacy section select “Clear browsing data”
4. Under the Obliterate the following items from drop-down option, select The beginning of time.
5. Ensure that the Empty the cache and Delete cookies and other site and plug-in data options are
selected

6. Once selected, press the Clear browsing data button to delete all data selected.
Once these steps have been completed close your browser, open a new window, and login.

using. If you are using a Windows XP machine this layout will appear:

Once completed, you will see www.sharonview.org listed in the list of websites that will allow popups to appear even when you have your pop-up blocker enabled.

Clearing Firefox Browser Settings - XP Users
In the Options window, select the Privacy icon/tab located at the top of the window. By default, it should
be displayed as shown below.
WARNING!
Clearing these settings will also erase the option saved to remember your PC. After completing these
steps you will be prompted to receive a verification code and asked to enroll your computer as a Public or
Private computer.

Under the Firefox will dropdown menu option you will find 3 different options.

Remember history will keep the information stored on the browser from the various websites
you visit including Sharonview.
Never remember history will not keep information from websites visited on your browser. This
can also prevent the option to set your computer as a Private computer during log in.
Use custom settings for history will allow you to set up how information is saved and deleted on
your browser.

Here, make sure we have the Time range to clear option is set to Everything in the drop down
menu options.
Then, at the bottom, make sure that we have at least the Cookies and Cache selected for
deletion.
Once you’re ready, click on the Clear Now button located at the bottom.
