Structural metal components are fabricated from 6061-T-6 heat
treated high strength aircraft aluminum and are lightweight for easy
portability. Pivot points use graphite/composite bushings and stainless
steel hardware for years of corrosion resistance and smooth movement.
Control unit is formed from type 304 stainless steel with built in failsafe clutch mechanism to prevent damage due to misuse. All metal
components are 100% TIG welded to AWS specifications and to the
highest standards of quality workmanship by certified welders.
Finish
All metal components to have a U.V. stabilized polyester powdercoat
finish. All powder-coated parts are completely cleaned and a hot zinc
phosphate pretreatment with non-chromic sealer is applied. Powdercoating is then electrostatically applied and oven-cured at 375O to
425O Fahrenheit (191O – 218O Celsius). Polyester powders shall meet
or exceed ASTM standards for Adhesion, Hardness, Impact, Flexibility,
Overbake Resistance, and Salt Spray Resistance. Standard powdercoat colors are shown with many optional custom colors available
upon request.
