RIVIERA LIFE ROC CENTRE MANAGER Role: Riviera Life (RL) Redeeming our Communities (ROC) Centre Manager Hours: 24 hours (flexible) initially with the potential of becoming full time Base: Riviera Life ROC Centre, Chelston, Torquay Term of office: 2 year fixed term contract Accountable to: Day to day management Riviera Life Church Community Pastor Salary: 18-21 k per annum P.R KEY COMPONENTS OF ROLE: RL ROC Centre is situated in Chelston, Torquay, and, in partnership with local statutory and voluntary agencies, provides services and activities to meet the holistic needs of the local community population. The RL ROC Centre manager will be required to develop and oversee the day to day activities of the RL ROC Centre and management of staff and volunteers. The role will report to the leadership team of Riviera Life Church (RLC) and will look to establish the RL ROC Centre as a key component to the improvement of social needs in Torquay. The RL ROC Centre Manager will look at evaluating existing activities within the town, identifying gaps and highlighting where there is room for improvement and the creation of activities within RL ROC Centre which will reduce the unmet needs of people in Torquay. The right candidate will have strong interpersonal skills and an evangelistic heart. This person will have a passion to see transformational change in people’s lives through equipping and encouragement. The ideal candidate will demonstrate having worked in a support worker role and have some experience in developing and managing programmes and processes. Experience of working as a volunteer in a recognised organization is also desirable. The ability to prioritise, organize workloads and handle multiple tasks is essential, as well as flexibility with working hours, as events and programmes may run during evenings and weekends. Set and monitor key performance indicators to keep RL ROC Centre focused on its vision Oversee the housekeeping, maintenance and security within the building Manage a limited budget for operational activities and marketing activities. Liaise with relevant local agencies as required Complete relevant documentation as required Ensure that record keeping in the RL ROC Centre concurs with record keeping policy Be familiar with all the relevant policies and procedures of the RL ROC Centre and ensure that any requirements are being adhered to Produce verbal and written reports for the management team as required Engage in fundraising activities and make applications for funding bids Leadership: Develop and manage a programme of activities for RL ROC Centre which meets the current gaps within Chelston and Torquay. Build relationships with partner organisations, government organisations, community groups and local businesses that are willing to invest time and money into the local community. Provide Pastoral Support to those who use RL ROC Centre Line manage the staff employed to work at RL ROC Centre Manage and resource a team of volunteers who will be an integral part of the successful running of the RL ROC Centre. Contribute to the supervision, training and development of staff and volunteers as required Mentor and role model emotional intelligence for staff, volunteers and service users Identify and manage own training needs in order to meet the ongoing needs of the position. Encourage service users’ participation in activities and challenge inappropriate behavior.
