Bishop Malesic has approved a special collection to be
taken up in the parishes of our Diocese the weekend of

to welcome them and take them to the holy city, the new and
eternal Jerusalem.
We warmly welcome our newest parishioner baptized

The Lord’s Laughter
“A joyful heart is a good medicine, but a broken
spirit dries up the bones.” Proverbs 17:22
Jill: "Would you like to come to my house-warming party
on Friday?" John: "I would love to. What's the address of
your new house?" Jill: "Number six, Fairview Lane. Just
ring the bell with your elbow."
John: "Why can't I ring it with my finger?"
Jill: "You are not coming empty-handed, are you?"
************
A man put his fifty cents in a vending machine and then
watched helplessly as the cup failed to appear -- a nozzle
sent coffee down the drain while another
poured cream after it.
"Now that's automation!" he exclaimed.
"It even drinks it for you!"

Summer is a great time to take a breath
and reorient our hearts and minds to the
mission and message of Christ. This
Summer grow in your Catholic faith
during the warm season. Do something for
someone else. Make a point this summer
to reach out to people in need. Deliver a
bag of groceries to a neighbor. Offer to
babysit for new parents. Do lawn work for
someone. Summer is a time for resting,
reaching out, and growing—mind, body
and spirit.
