Materials/Tools Required:
Level
Pencil
Tape Measure
Hammer
Drill with 5/16” masonry drill bit
Wire Rope Cutter (for 3/32” SS Cable)
Compression Tool (e.g., Nicopress® swaging tool or
equivalent, as illustrated below)
Step 4:
Thread screw eyes
into anchors
approximately 1-3/8”
deep.
Step 5:
Thread end of cable
inside open end of
sign and up through
hole in top of sign.
Feed cable through
until end stop is
seated against inside
wall of tubing.
Step 3:
Insert anchors firmly into
holes in ceiling and drive
remaining head of
anchors in using hammer
to seat flush.
Warning: Swage sleeve must be
compressed using proper
tooling. Failure to do so may
result in injury.
Cable End Stop
Step 2:
At desired sign mounting location mark ceiling with pencil, using
measurement from Step 1. Use 5/16” diameter masonry bit to
drill holes 1-9/16” minimum to 1-5/8” maximum depth in ceiling
on marks.
Top of Sign
Step 6:
Thread end of cable through
swage sleeve and screw eye
eyelet, looping cable back
around and through swage
sleeve. Pull excess cable
through to adjust sign height
above floor, as determined by
architect. Cinch swage sleeve
to screw eye, creating a tight
loop diameter of no more
than1”. Use compression tool to
securely crimp sleeve to cable.

cable, threading into
opposite end of sign.

Step 1:
Measure distance between cable exit holes on top of sign. This
determines the center to center distance between anchors to
be mounted in ceiling.
Repeat for other cable end,
adjusting height to ensure sign
is level in final position. Cut
excess cable, leaving 1/4” to
1/2” excess cable exiting
swage sleeve.

Step 7:
Remove finger prints from sign using mild non-abrasive
household cleaning agents, such as water and mild liquid dish
soap. DO NOT use ammonia or alcohol based cleaners.
