Temporary revision to advise the flight crew of the following:
S Electrical system, galley, cabin and lavatory circuit breaker labels
corrected.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR INSERTION OF THIS TEMPORARY
REVISION
(1) Insert the Record of Temporary Revisions in the front portion of
the Quick Reference Handbook, Vol. 1.
(2) Remove and destroy the following pages of Temporary Revision
TR RJ/89 from the Quick Reference Handbook, Vol. 2 and
replace them with appropriate (yellow-coloured) pages from this
package:
S EMER 2---1 and EMER 2---2,
S EMER 2---5 and EMER 2---6, and
S EMER 2---9 thru EMER 2---18.
(3) Record the insertion of this Temporary Revision on the Record of
Temporary Revisions page.
(4) Retain this page for record purposes.

WARNING
1. Time is critical during smoke/fumes/fire
emergencies. The flight crew should
consider an immediate landing any time
the situation cannot be controlled.
2. The flight crew must don oxygen masks
/ smoke goggles at the first indication of
a concentration of smoke or fumes or
suspected contaminated air.
CAUTION
1. Passenger oxygen masks should not be
deployed when performing smoke or fire
procedures.
2. To continue to destination, the flight
crew must acknowledge that the threat
has been positively identified, confirmed
to
be
extinguished
and
the
smoke/fumes have dissipated.
NOTE
1. As part of Standard Operating
Procedures for in-flight emergencies,
PASS SIGNS switches are assumed to
have been selected ON.
2. As part of Standard Operating
Procedures
for
in-flight
smoke/fire/fumes emergencies, the
cockpit door curtain <0056> must be
closed.

WARNING
Accomplish “Smoke or Fumes Removal
Procedure” if at any time smoke/fumes
become the greatest threat or after the
source has been eliminated.
