Meet your new workmate. The Hyundai
iLoad and iMax are everything you need
in a van, and then some. Big, strong, and
reliable, both models are hugely practical
and extremely cost efficient. They’re not
afraid of hard work either. But it doesn’t
stop there.
As well as being built to tackle the
rigors and demands of your business,
they’re packed full of useful features.
Twin airbags, ABS brakes and Electronic
Stability Control (ESC) come as standard.
Doors on both sides and at the back
means access to the load/work space
is a breeze. And the locking differential
gives traction on the most challenging
driveways or work sites.
Combine all this with sleek European
styling and you begin to see why the
iLoad and iMax are taking the working

EXTERIOR
Before we created the Hyundai iLoad
and iMax, we listened to the people
that really matter: you, the trade and
business people, the ones who’re
going to use it. That’s why both these
tough models boast an extremely
spacious interior for cargo, and
incredibly low running costs.
Dual sliding side doors and a fullyopening lift-type rear door (or barn
door option on the iLoad) provide
easy access to the massive load/
work space.
Alloy wheels:
To complete the sophisticated look,
the iMax comes in distinctive 16” alloy
wheels. iLoad models come fitted with
16” steel wheels, practical and perfect
for this workhorse.
Foglights:
Front foglights are standard on the
iMax and give you safer driving during
difficult visibility.
There are also four rear sensors on
the iMax to help when reversing essential for a hard-working, fully-laden
passenger van.
And the overall design is further
enhanced by a strong grille and
integrated headlights, flared wheel
arches and raked windscreen – making
the iLoad and iMax not just a hard
worker, but a smart one too.

INTERIOR
Once inside, you’ll find the iLoad and
iMax vans crammed full of thoughtful,
practical features - but they’re certainly
not cramped for space.
Both models give everyone plenty of
room to stretch out. The iMax carries
up to 8 people without missing a beat.
The iLoad offers heaps of space for
storing your stuff – the 3-seater hoards
a massive 4,426 (VDA) litres, whilst the
optional 5-seater boasts a hefty 2,511
(VDA) litres of capacity.
As for those features, there’s a whole
range of them within easy reach.
Air-conditioning and a state-of-theart audio system come as standard,
as do electric front windows and
central locking. A handy upper storage
compartment, twin glovebox and dual
cup holders also give easy access on
the go. Because when you’re working
hard, you want to be comfortable too.

Auxiliary audio input, including
iPod connectivity:
Most of us don’t have a degree in
high-tech connectivity, so the iMax
and iLoad makes connecting your
gadgets easy. Your iPod, smartphone
or personal music player plugs
straight into the audio system. Just
as easy (and with safety in mind) are
the steering wheel mounted audio
controls, which let you select a song,
mute and change the volume without
taking your hands off the wheel.
Manual air-conditioning with
interior pollen filter:
All iLoad and iMax models feature
manual air-conditioning. Set your
desired temperature range and the
sophisticated air-conditioning system
will do the hard yards.
Rear air-conditioning vents:
Spread the air-conditioning to where
it’s needed on iMax models, to the
second and third row of seating
so everyone’s kept at the right
temperature on the journey.
Fold-down central armrest:
The fold-down central armrest on iLoad
vans features two large cup holders
and large storage tray, a useful place
to store papers and anything else you
need to keep in close proximity. Fold
the armrest up and it doubles as the
middle seat on iLoad vans.

SAFETY
At Hyundai New Zealand we treat
safety seriously, and never more so
than in a working environment. For
starters, all our vans are built from
tough, high-tensile steel from our very
own steel mill.
Class-leading safety features also come
as standard, including ABS brakes,
Electronic Stability Control (ESC) and
Traction Control System (TCS) for safer,
more intelligent handling.
In the event of a serious impact, dual
airbags instantly inflate to protect the
driver and front-seat passenger. And
to give you even more peace of mind,
every iLoad and iMax van is equipped
with its own safety pack: including a
fire extinguisher, a reflective safety
vest and first aid kit. So you can always
play it safe at work.

Electronic Stability Control (ESC):
This life saving safety technology
continuously monitors vehicle
directional stability and tyre traction. If
the system senses the vehicle is about
to skid and risks spinning out of control,
ESC automatically intervenes, applying
the brakes over individual wheels to
prevent loss of directional control.
ABS Braking with Electronic BrakeForce Distribution (EBD) and Brake
Assist (BAS):
Active safety features constantly
monitor the road conditions and
adjust accordingly. Brake Assist (BAS)
and Anti-lock brakes (ABS) help you
maintain control while braking.
Reversing sensors:
Four sensors embedded in the rear
bumper sound an alarm to warn the
driver about the proximity of objects
behind them when reversing (iMax
models only).

Technology
Big on size, big on technology. We’ve
developed a long list of smart features
to make the working day more
comfortable, more entertaining and
safer than ever before. In fact the iLoad
and iMax includes the kind of intelligent
features you wouldn’t necessarily
expect from a family car, let alone a
work vehicle.
Driver heated seat:
iMax models boast a heated seat for
drivers, so on those chilly mornings,
you’ll be nice and snug.
MP3 compatible in-dash CD player:
The sound system is ergonomically
incorporated into the dashboard. Its
impressive features include an in-dash
MP3 compatible CD player and steering
wheel mounted audio controls including
seek-and-skip function.
Electro chromatic rear-view
mirror (ECM):
To improve safety while driving
at night on iMax models, the rear
view mirror automatically darkens
to reduce headlight glare from
following vehicles.
Air-conditioning:
iLoad and iMax vans feature an
efficient, effective and simple to
operate air-conditioning system. The
rotary type setting controls are easy to
use and easily accessible by both driver
and front passenger.
Bluetooth handsfree phone system:
Bluetooth handsfree is available on all
iLoad and iMax models and means you
can safely talk on your phone while
driving. The system is driven through
the stereo and works with all Bluetooth
enabled phones, with the ability to
answer and end calls with the touch of
a button on the front dash.

Bluetooth audio streaming:
Stream music from your smartphone
or Bluetooth enabled music device
over the Bluetooth connection,
straight to the iMax and iLoad’s audio
system and enjoy the convenience of
wireless connectivity.
Central locking with keyless
entry, anti-theft alarm and
engine immobiliser:
Lock and unlock all the doors with
the click of a button, and experience
the security of an anti-theft alarm and
engine immobiliser on all iLoad and
iMax models.

Performance
To be a workhorse you need
horsepower. Here again the Hyundai
iMax and iLoad won’t let you down with
a choice of highly efficient diesel and
petrol engines.
The turbocharged 2.5 litre diesel engine
mated to an automatic transmission
delivers a phenomenal 125 kW of
power at 3,600 rpm with a colossal
torque of 441 Nm. Also available for
the iMax is a 2.4 litre DOHC MPI petrol
engine that delivers 126kW of power
and 224 Nm of torque.
Automatic models have a sequential
sports shift, allowing you to go through
the gears manually without a clutch.
While 6-speed manual transmission
models feature a dual-mass flywheel

to reduce drivetrain noise, as well
as optimised gear ratios and tough
synchros for ease of shifting.
iMax and iLoad models feature an
extremely flexible suspension system
that includes MacPherson struts
in the front with coil springs and
gas-filled shock absorbers. The rear
of the iLoad features a leaf spring
setup with gas-filled shock absorbers
for superior load carrying capacity.
The iMax features a rigid axle 5-link
suspension in the rear with coil
springs and gas filled shock absorbers
to maximise cabin space so you can
fit all your passengers in.
Locking differential:
The locking differential on iLoad and
iMax vans allows you to get out of a
slippery bind. If one wheel is slipping
more than the other, the locking
differential forces both wheels to
exert the same power down, allowing
you to pull yourself and your cargo out
of any slippery situation (standard on
all iLoad and iMax diesel models).
Add to this excellent fuel economy
and a locking differential for when the
going gets tough and you’ve got a van
that does the hard yards with grace
and power.

iLOAD VAN OPTIONAL EXTRAS
5-seat iLoad van*
A 5-seat option is available for the iLoad. Two seats at the front
and three in the rear gives the flexibility to carry five people,
leaving ample space for cargo as well.
Rear barn doors*
This option is available to those loading cargo with forklifts,
who require easier access to rear goods or who simply like the
cosmetic style of dual opening rear doors (iLoad only).
