Will the lights become Hot or Warm to the touch?
NO. The lights are LED and do not generate Heat.
How many watts do the lights pull?
The 10mm iluma pulls 3 watts per foot of light and the 5mm pulls 1.6 watts per foot.
How long do the LEDs last?
The LED’s have a lifetime of 50,000 hours. That is 5.7 years with lights on 24 hours a day, 17 years with
the LEDs on 8 hours a day.
Is the kit lighting system low-voltage AC or low-voltage DC?
The under cabinet lighting system operates on low-voltage DC power. DC power greatly reduces the risk
of electric shock.
How are the LEDs powered?
The LEDs are powered with an LED driver that only outputs the amount of wattage needed for the job.
What is the size of the actual light?
The 10mm iluma measures 0.5’’ wide and the 5mm iluma is 0.25’’ wide.
What size hole do I need to drill for the micro-connectors?
You will need to drill a 7/16 inch hole for the lights.
How bright are the LED lights?
LED brightness is measured in lumens.
 10mm iluma: The clear white LED is 252 lumens per foot and the warm yellow is 240 lumens per
foot
 5mm iluma: The clear white LED is 282 lumens per foot and the warm yellow is 271 lumens per
foot.
What is the Kelvin rating of the LED lights?
Kelvin is a unit of temperature used to measure the whiteness of the light output. The clear white LED
Kelvin rating is 4500 and the warm yellow is 3200 Kelvin.
What temperature can the LEDs operate under? Can the lights be installed under a range hood?
The LEDs can operate at temperatures -40 to 124 ͦC (-40 to 255.2 ͦF). Yes, the light can withstand of the if
installed inside the range hood.
How many watts can the power supply handle?
i-lighting likes to keep 10% of the power supply free. The 25 watt indoor power supply can power 22.5
watts of light and the 72 watt indoor power supply can power 64.8 watts.
