PRESS RELEASE February 14, 2012 Healthcare Association of Hawaii (HAH) welcomes new Vice President and COO Rachael Wong, DrPH Rachael S. Wong, DrPH, has been named the Healthcare Association of Hawaii’s new Vice President and COO. Ms. Wong has strong roots in both healthcare and legislative action in Hawaii. She previously served as executive director of Kōkua Mau and the Hawai‘i Consortium for Integrative Healthcare. Ms. Wong received an AB from Princeton University, a MPH in Maternal and Child Health from the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa, and a DrPH in Health Policy and Management from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Ms. Wong’s community involvement demonstrates her passion and commitment to moving healthcare in the state forward. She currently serves as Vice Chair of the Honolulu City Ethics Commission, Vice Chair of the Public Health Fund Committee of the Chamber of Commerce of Hawai‘i, and Vice President of the Legacy of Life Hawai‘i Board of Directors. She is also a member of the United Network for Organ Sharing (UNOS) Kidney Transplantation Committee. HAH is confident that Ms. Wong is the best person to continue our momentum toward a healthy Hawaii where every resident of every age has convenient access to appropriate, affordable, high quality care, and where healthcare providers are reimbursed adequately to deliver that care. Ms. Wong joins the HAH leadership team at the end of February.
