CUTTINGS & CLIPPINGS THE LATEST NEWS FROM EMAK UK Efco Multimate - a genuine innovation! “TEAM TALK” Stepping up to the challenge It’s not often that a genuinely different and innovative garden tool comes to market. But with Multimate, Efco is breaking new ground. Multi-use powered garden tools are usually based on a brushcutter with a range of accessories that are frequently none-too-easy to attach or operate and involve the use of spanners, Allen keys and similar in order to attach and remove them. Not so with Multimate. The designers went back to basics and addressed the complete concept. As a consequence Multimate adopts a modular approach based on a powerful but lightweight 30cc Euro II compliant 2-stroke power pack onto which any one of five accessories can be easily attached. The ingenious aspect here is the unique lock/release mechanism which offers accessory changing - simply by pressing a button - in just five seconds. Not only is it fast but totally safe and easy to operate. Five accessories are available, a brushcutter, lawn trimmer, blower, hedgetrimmer and pruner and all can be purchased separately depending on the task in hand. And as detailed in the panel, Efco has put together some very attractive ‘packages’ that dealers will be able to entice customers’ with. Even storage has been addressed – a purpose designed wall mounted hanger unit enables the complete six part kit to be stored neatly and out of the way. Multimate Total: The complete six piece Multimate for only £499 inc. VAT. Multimate Tidy: A power unit plus lawn trimmer and blower for £299 inc. VAT. Newsletter March 2009 .indd 1 You would think we have all had enough of expressions like ‘challenging times’ but there can be little doubt that this coming season is likely to put some of the problems of recent years into a different perspective. So are there are reasons for a least some optimism? At Efco we believe so. Efco continues to innovate, not just with the Multimate but in continuing to develop tools and machines that offer excellent quality coupled with value for money. Purchasers across all sectors are increasingly looking for such a combination and with its vast range of equipment to suit all tasks and all budgets, there are few (if any) manufacturer’s who can offer such a comprehensive range. And as an existing or potential dealer, there is an opportunity with Efco to improve your profitability. Look through the 2009 products catalogue and ask yourself, “couldn’t I benefit from sourcing more products from one supplier?” More purchasing equates to better terms and because the vast majority of Efco products are held in our UK warehouse, overnight delivery can be turned to your advantage with customers. Food for thought? We think so. Explore the possibilities with your Area Sales Manager. Wishing you a very successful season. In 8 different models, Efco ‘Storm’ and ‘Kommand’ garden tractors cater for every garden or professional user, offering the choice of rear or side grass discharge, the facility to collect cuttings or not and easy to use controls. The Storm range is suited to the home gardener with a large or demanding grass cutting requirement offering cutting widths of 96 or 107cm without grass collection. Three of the five models feature the Efco ‘Transmatic’ manual gearbox with the other two featuring a hydrostatic transmission which offers progressive speed adjustment via the accelerator. Engines across the Storm range are Briggs and Stratton – 11.5 to 20hp - fitted with the AVS system to guarantee quiet, vibration-free operation. Kommand tractors offer 76cm and 92cm cutting widths and rear grass collection with bags of 200 or 240 litre capacity. Two of the three tractors offer Transmatic transmission with the top of the range 92/15.5 AM model featuring a fully automatic transmission.
