Chief Executive Officer WELCOME Welcome to the 2016 CCI North West Resources Tour. We are excited that you are able to join us on this journey as we head to the heart of Western Australia’s mining and resources industry in the Pilbara region, before visiting our neighbours in the Northern Territory. Western Australia’s resources sector has a promising future. After a once-in-a-generation upswing in the commodity price cycle, our economy has transitioned from construction to historic levels of production and the fundamentals for long-term growth remain sound. In fact, the mining and resource industries have laid the foundation for Western Australia to become a world-leading destination for innovation, ready-to-sell pioneering technology, best-practice knowledge and unique research on a global scale. This tour is a fantastic opportunity to gain insight into the industry that is the cornerstone of our state’s economy. Many of the projects and sites we will visit are among the largest in the world, with diverse and sophisticated operations that are often so immense it is difficult to visualise until you see it person. So once again, we are delighted to welcome you all to the 2016 North West Resources Tour and look forward to sharing this unique experience with you.
