Forster | Restoring high conservation values ecosystems
This project complements existing local initiatives along a 29km stretch of coastline, including supporting
Grey Headed Flying Fox habitats.
Gosford | The Five Lands Walk restoration project at Winney Bay
This project will rehabilitate both sides of the walking track and also undertake bush regeneration including
seed collection, propagation and planting native species.
Gosford | The South Magenta coastal dunes and lake foreshore
Teams will combat coastal and lake foreshore degradation by removing targeted weeds, building dune
fences and participating in field days to increase public awareness.
Clarence Valley | High conservation value vegetation restoration
Propogation of local plants to revegetate degraded areas around Yuragir National Park and at Susan Island.
NSW North Coast | Assisting the recovery of koala populations
Green Army teams will work alongside Friends of the Koala volunteers to produce koala preferred food trees,
collect leaves for koalas in the care centre and propogate seeds for future plantings.
Byron Bay, Balina, Iluka, Coffs Coast | Assisting coastal corridor enhancement
This Green Army project will help restore high conservation value vegetation on multiple sites covering
the Byron Bay, Ballina and Coffs coastline. Activities include seed collection and plant propagation, weed
treatment, public access management and erosion management.
NSW North Coast | Protecting and restoring large landscape linkages
This project will rehabilitate lowland subtropical rainforest by controlling serious weed threats in the World
Heritage listed Nightcap National Park.
Penrith | Improving the health of the Nepean River embankment
This project will protect and enhance 600m of the endangered river-flat Eucalypt forest ecological
vegetation community along the river.
