it enacted by His Excellency the Governor of Tasmania, by
and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and House
of Assembly, in Parliament assembled, as follows ; 1 This A et may be cited as ,. The Public Works Execution Act Short title.

improved, executed, or completed the works specified in the schedule
to this Act at a eost for each separate work not exceeding the amount
set forth in the said schedule in respect thereof.

3 If the Minister at any time reports to the Governor that the
whole or any portion of the money voted by this Act, or any previous
Money not.

4 The provisions of the Public Works Construction Act, 1880, and
the Branch Roads Construction Act, 188], shall extend and apply to
the works mentioned in the schedule to this Act as fully in all respects
as if the saill provisions had been incorporated in this Act.

5 Notwithstanding anything contained in this or any other Act,
any land required for the purpose of any public work authorised by
this Act may, at the option of the Minister, be purchased, acquired,
or taken under the Lands Resumption Act, 1910, or under the Land
Vesting Act, 1894, and, in the event of such option being exercised.
in respect of either of those Acts, the provisions of such Act shall be
deemed t@ be incorpol'ated with this Act, in lieu of the provisions of the
Public Works Construction Act, 1880, and the Branch Roads Construction Act, 188].

6 It shall be lawful ff)}' the Treasurer to raise, borrow, and receive a
total sum not exceeding- One hundred and sixty-two thousand five
hundred and eighty Pounds for the purposes of this Act.

13 Geo. V. Nu. 45.
7 The sclledule to the Public Works Execution Act (No. 1), 1923,
is hereby amended, as from the commencement of that Act, by inserting
the words" alld equipment" aftel' the word" Hospital" in Item Eight
hundred and four of the said schedule.
Amendment of
the schedule to
14 Geo.V. No. 37.
8 The schedule to the Public Works Execution Act (No. 1), 1924,
is hereby amended by deleting the words" Christmas Hills to Britton's
and others" appearing as Item Forty in that schedule, and substituting the words" Road to Dunn's and others" therefor.
Amendment of
the schedule to
18 Geo.V. No. 40.
9 The schedule to the Public Works Execution Act (No. 3), 1927,
is hereby amended, as from the commencement of that Act, by
deleting the words (in brackets) "a similar amount to be contributed
by the Railway Department" after the word" Crossing" in Item Six
hundred and thirty-one of the said schedule.
