As a young adult you need to be prepared to accept responsibility for and acknowledge that you will comply with the following WM-BB Summer Program Code of Conduct. If codes from 1-12 are broken students will be issued with a strike, and can receive up to three strikes prior to being sent home. For violation of codes 13-18, you will be immediately removed from the program and sent home, with your parents having to cover all fares associated. The Code of Conduct is put in place to ensure the wellbeing, safety and enjoyment of all of the participants in the WM-BB Summer Program. Staff who work on the Summer Program are also required to sign a similar Code of Conduct. Please read through the Code of Conduct below and together with your parent/guardian and return it with your acceptance form. As a participant in the Wingara Mura – Bunga Barrabugu Summer Program I agree to: 1. Wear my lanyard at all times. 2. Be respectful and courteous at all times to other participants, staff and other visitors. 3. Engage positively and openly with the activities and programs that have been planned as part of the WM-BB Summer Program. 4. Be punctual to all activities and meals. 5. Listen to and follow instructions. 6. Respect the property and equipment of The University of Sydney and that of the staff and other participants on the WM-BB Summer Program. 7. For your own safety students must wear closed toe shoes for the duration of the program, thongs are only allowed at shower or pool time. 8. Maintain rooms in a clean and tidy condition. Any cost for additional cleaning or damage will be directly imposed on the occupants of the room. 9. Stay on campus and within the boundaries and limits set by the WM-BB Summer Program staff and not leave without receiving permission. 10. Use mobile phones, cameras and social media responsibly and ask other people before taking or uploading a photo of them. 11. Recognise the importance of respecting other participants’ right to privacy and the privacy of anyone else participating in the WM-BB Summer Program. 12. Hand all medications (including vitamins) to the designated Summer Program staff member on arrival. I understand that I must not bring, use or consume: 13. cigarettes, alcohol or illegal substances; 14. weapons or other dangerous items; or 15. pornography. I understand that the following behaviour is unacceptable: 16. Inappropriate language, sexual contact, innuendos, phrases and gestures; 17. Violent or inappropriate physical contact; 18. Getting or giving tattoos and/or piercings; and bullying. If you do not comply with the Code of Conduct, you may be removed from the Summer Program and sent home. Your school will be notified.
