TITLE:
QUALIFICATIONS:
Staff Engineer
1. Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or a combination of equivalent experience and training.
2.
Five (5) years of related experience in engineering, architecture, or equivalent experience and training.
3.
Experience in school facilities construction preferred.
4.
Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.

Coordinator, Facilities Construction
To assist the Coordinators in the completion of the facilities construction, renovation projects as per plans, specifications and schedules.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assists in the scheduling of conferences with the appropriate personnel to plan and

coordinate the construction, renovation projects.
Insures that all current construction plans and specifications are in compliance with the current District guidelines, educational specifications and the State Department of
Education Rules.

Provides technical assistance in the development of District guidelines and small improvement project specifications.

Reviews shop drawings, plans and submittals to insure completeness and compliance.
Assists the Coordinators in the review and approval of all payment requests, change

orders and other related construction documents.
Assists the design professionals in securing the necessary information necessary
7.
to maintain projects schedules.
Assists the Coordinators in the periodic inspections of all construction, renovation
8.
projects as necessary.
Supervises the acquisition, processing and maintenance of all facility documents to
9.
insure proper storage and retrieval.
Seeks ways and means of continually improving and implementing the supportive services to the educational program of the system.
10. Performs such other tasks and assumes such other responsibilities as may be required by the Director.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Twelve month year. Salary as established by the Board.

Performance of this job will be assessed annually in accordance with provisions of the
Board’s policy on assessment of supervisory/technical personnel.
