VENUE AND SETTING
We are excited to return to Vail, Colorado for the 34th Annual

vaccine preventable diseases on global and U.S. populations.
• Describe the diagnosis and management of patients with
Kawasaki Disease.
• Explain the relationship between Vitamin D and susceptibility
to infection.
• Describe the diagnosis and management of bone and joint
infections.
• Discuss the recent Advisory Committee on Immunization
Practices (ACIP) updates.
• Outline common and important infections of the eye and their
management.
• Discuss new rapid diagnostic tests and their use in pediatric
patients.
• Describe ways to keep your patients and family safe while they
are traveling abroad.
• Discuss strategies for talking with vaccine hesitant parents.
• Review the most recent recommendations for pediatric
immunizations.
• Outline the epidemiology, clinical findings, and diagnosis of
plague.
• Describe the clinical presentation, diagnosis, and management
of Norovirus disease.
• Discuss the most important recently published articles in
pediatric infectious disease.
CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDIT
Children’s Hospital Colorado is accredited by the Accreditation
Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing
medical education for physicians.
Children’s Hospital Colorado designates this live activity for
a maximum of 21 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s).™ Physicians
should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their
participation in the activity. Application for CME credit has
been filed with the American Academy of Family Physicians.

ATTRACTIONS
Set in the majestic Colorado Rockies, Vail provides unequalled
opportunities for hiking, biking, fishing, horseback riding, golf,
tennis, river rafting and more. The Gerald Ford Amphitheatre
hosts performances from both the Bravo Vail Valley Music
Festival and the Vail International Dance Festival (both have
performances during the dates of this conference). Vail’s fine
restaurants are a delight and many are within a few blocks
from the hotel. Vail weather features warm days, cool evenings
and occasional late afternoon showers. Bring clothing suitable
for temperatures between 50 and 85 degrees. Layered
clothing is suggested.

CANCELLATION POLICY
A registration refund, minus a $50 processing fee, will be
granted if cancellation is requested by June 15, 2016. No
refunds will be granted after this date or for non-attendance.
Children’s Hospital Colorado reserves the right to modify
the agenda or cancel this conference in the event of
an unforeseen circumstance, or if minimum acceptable
registration is not attained by June 15, 2016. For additional
