E.II Basic Navigation
To get to the E.II login page, go to www.ewcho.org
To get to the Encompass login page, go to www.ewcho.org/encompass
Use buttons in E.II, not browsers back or forward buttons.
Don’t need to select a county right after logging in. All clients authorized for services can be
viewed across counties.
Search Options are simplified: type in anything, press the enter key on your keyboard, E.II will
show matching results:
To narrow down search results, enter more than last name (for example first initial and last name)
Status of a chart is “open” or “closed”.
If you don’t find the client you’re looking for, click

Lists can be sorted by any column heading that has a triangle to the left. The blue triangle shows
how the list is currently sorted (Name below), the grey triangle on top will sort by ascending, the
grey triangle on the bottom will sort by descending:

Click MORE INFO on the right side of the header to see the whole thing.
Header shows primary case holder and contact information, mouse over

For a quick check of a client’s eligibility for Medicaid, MiChild, ABW, Spenddown, etc., mouse over
the
to the right of the Eligibility section in the header:
Enter a 2 digit day, month and year, for example 010108 OR use the
button.
Enter time in military time, click the clock to insert current time.
Save by clicking Save, Save & Exit, or by clicking a tab to move to a different page.
Use Tab key to move to the next field or button (Shift + Tab to move back).
The
icon will add space to enter more data, for example, services on the authorization,
outcomes on the IPOS.
In fields with a drop down value list, type the first letter of the value you want to enter (for
example L for Livingston), keep pressing the first letter (letter L in this case) until the value you
need appears.
Error and warning messages show at the top of the screen, pink errors are validations that can’t be
bypassed, yellow warning messages can be bypassed by clicking a button a second time if
appropriate (for example, if the time was three or more hours between start and end of service).
Mouse over the error at the top of the screen and the field(s) that need attention will be
highlighted in pink:
Access to records will be driven by team/agency association.
Chart will follow consumer from one county to another.
Check your
list for items needing your attention, and your “messages”
list for
informational notices. E-mails are sent about To Do items that are more than one day old.
Click
to create your “My Favorites” menu.
Records converted from Encompass to E.II may be missing data in some fields (like attendance on
the IPOS) go to Encompass for the complete record.
System wide menu Search button at the bottom of the main menu searches menus, not clients.
E.II automatically logs you off after 59 minutes of inactivity. If you see the time out warning below,
click on the white box BEFORE the time shown. This will reset the time out clock.
Chronological List is now called View Clinical Documents.
From a document list, such as Progress Notes, check the “inactive” box to see voided documents.
Document status can be draft, unsigned signature, or signed.
