Disclosure to Promote the Right To Information
Whereas the Parliament of India has set out to provide a practical regime of right to
information for citizens to secure access to information under the control of public authorities,
in order to promote transparency and accountability in the working of every public authority,
and whereas the attached publication of the Bureau of Indian Standards is of particular interest
to the public, particularly disadvantaged communities and those engaged in the pursuit of
education and knowledge, the attached public safety standard is made available to promote the
timely dissemination of this information in an accurate manner to the public.

4. Make-Up and Packing - Tapes shall be made into light
rolls.
The rolls shall be arranged in
cylindrical
bundles and shall be secured by twine of adequate strength.
These bundles shall be
wrapped in 2 layers of kraft paper [See IS : 1397-1967 Specification
for kraft paper ( first revision ) ]
followed by a third layer of waterproof packing paper (see IS: 1398-1968 Specification
for packing paper,
waterproof,
bitumen laminated ) and finally with an outer layer of cloth heavy tee ( see IS : 3751-1966

5. Marking
5.1 Each roll shall be marked with the following:
a) Name of the material;
b) Name of the manufacturer,
c) Length
initials
or trade-mark,
of tape in the roll ( m ) and width
if any;
( mm );
d) Year of manufacture.
5.2 ISI Certification
