A48 - ACCESSORIES FOR THE ELECTRICAL MACHINES
LABORATORY
The accessories described here complete the
electrical machines laboratory equipment set
by integrating the specialized components
described in the various sections of the
Catalogue.
General common characteristics:
These accessories are required in a large
number of Laboratory experiments and their
use is described within the related Instruction
Manuals.
Where applicable, they are equipped with
an Educational Terminal Board on top of
which the internal logic is printed to facilitate
their understanding and use. Connections
are performed through 4mm safety
terminals.
They are all designed according to the
current safety standards, ELECTRON quality
guidelines and for easy, user friendly
integration with the product line.
A4810 - PARALLELING BOARD.
This instrument allows paralleling of two
three-phase AC generators, or one
generator and one line, by comparing their
voltages and frequencies and indicating
whether and when they are compatible as
far as their sequence, values and phases are
concerned.
Only then it is possible to connect the two
sources.
It can be used with the lamps bright or
lamps dark methods.

A4840 - COUPLING BASE
The
Coupling
Base
allows
coaxial
connection of two rotating machines of
compatible power range, or one machine
and some other rotating device such as a
magnetic brake, brake generator, flywheel ,
and others.
It comes with all necessary accessories to
fasten the machines on the base and a
safety guard to cover the coupling joint.
The machines are mounted on two parallel
rails fixed on the base, and can be shifted
longitudinally to adjust their optimum
respective distance for smooth coupling.

A4840RL - ROTOR LOCKER
It is mounted on the coupling base rails and
has a fixed coupling joint that mating with
the motor joint blocks its rotor to allow
execution of short circuit tests.

A4840TR - TROLLEY
It is a 4 wheels cart with two planes: a top
plane on which machines under test or a
coupling board can be set, a bottom plane
can be used to store equipment temporarily.
Provides a convenient means to move
equipment within the laboratory

A4880 - TACHOGENERATOR
The tacho-generator is a DC generator which
produces a DC voltage that is directly and
linearly proportional to its speed. The
standard ratio is 20V per 1,000 RPM, max.
6,000 RPM. Other ranges are available on
request.
It is normally used to measure speed of
rotating machines, in place of an electronic
or manual RPM meter, by measuring its
output with a precision voltmeter and
converting it to RPM’s.
It is available in two versions:
. an industrial version, to be mounted
coaxially on the machine under test
. an educational version, with base and half
coupling joint to be mounted on the
coupling board and coupled to the tested
machine.

A4885 - FLYWHEEL
The flywheel can be coupled to rotating
machines for two main reasons: ensure a
smoother rotation or perform tests such as
deceleration tests and determination of
copper and iron losses in different working
conditions.
The flywheel is available in three different
sizes to be coupled to our standard powers
electrical machines.
A4890 - CABLE SET
It has its own support and joint for coupling
on the coupling base to the electrical
machine under test.

Composed by the following set of 60 cables,
a quantity and mix suitable to perform even
the more complex electrical machines
laboratory experiment.
A set of 50 adapters, 2mm male to 4 mm
female, is optionally available to allow the
use of this set of cables on 2mm sockets.
This is especially useful with the A21 M200
Industrial Installation Trainer.
The cables have 4mm safety terminals
according to IEC safety standards.
A cable rack can be ordered optionally for
orderly storing of the cables.
