WHO IS THE COURSE FOR? »» Current childcare educators wishing to enhance their skills and knowledge in education and care »» Those wanting to gain employment in either the childcare sector as an early childhood educator, or as an early childhood education assistant in a school »» Those with the intention of studying a Bachelor Degree at University to become a registered early childhood teacher »» Bachelor of Education trained teachers who wish to become Early Childhood Educators (via a reverse articulation process) DURATION Full-time: 2 years ENTRY REQUIREMENTS »» ATAR score of 55 and completion of year 12 with a minimum C grade in stage 2 English (or equivalent) OR »» Completion of an appropriate VET qualification at Certificate IV or relevant Bachelor degree Don’t meet these entry requirements? ADVANCED STANDING »» Students will receive 16 units of credit towards the ECU Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood Studies) »» Students will also receive 12 units of credit towards a Curtin University Education degree. MODE All theory units in this course require attendance at a compulsory workshop in Week 1 of each semester. There are five units which require attendance on campus once every three weeks. All other learning is conducted in an online learning environment. COST The Associate Degree in Education (Early Childhood) is $3975 per semester (full-time) or equivalent part-time. * FEE-HELP is available for this course.
