Your RMA Request in detail
Different types of RMA
RMA stands for Return Merchandise Authorisation. This document addresses return policies applicable to
products purchased by Avnet Technology Solutions customers („reseller“) that are requested to be returned to Avnet Technology Solutions for repair, replacement or credit.
We have determined different types of RMA:
„Warranty RMA“
„ Delivery complaints“
For product that is technical defective within our delivery‘s warranty
period and that is not handled directly by the manufacturer, our Customer
Service departement is responsible for handling the return request for
repair, replacement or credit.
For complaints on deliveries of Avnet Technology Solutions, our Customer Service team ist responsible for handling the request.

or missing, incomplete or wrong deliveries

„Other RMA“
„Credit Only“ or „Credit and Rebill“
For products to be returned for other reasons than „Warranty RMA“ or
„Delivery complaints“, as described above, our sales team is responsible
for handling the request for return.
Typically this is for returns to the stock of Avnet Technology Solutions
when resellers placed wrong orders
when our sales team placed wrong orders
For corrections on invoices of Avnet Technology Solutions, our sales
team is responsible for handling the request. RMA is not applicable since
there is no return of goods.

RMA Request Procedure
Mandatory Return Requirements
Reseller need to complete and return to us by email the
RMA Request Form, hereby attached. On receipt of
the RMA request form we will verify the details for their
completeness and correctness. If the request is not
approved (fully), we will inform you accordingly. If the
request is approved, our Customer Service Department
will email to you the RMA approval form with the RMA
number and the required transport arrangements.
If you do not comply with our conditions we reserve
the right to return the goods to you at your cost and/or
charge additional cost of at least 30 Euro for each single
intem, based on the condition of the product and/or packing. Handling the RMA, restocking and/ depreciating
the product, generate this cost.
RMA Request Form
At the top of the RMA Request Form you can find the
customer details section. Please fill in completely the
company details and only fill in the collection details
when they are different from the company details.
You can find the following product details in the section
above in this document.
P/N: Avnet part number or, when not available,
manufacturer part number. However, for memory we
need the manuacturer part number!
Quantity: Amount of product
S/N: Manufacturer serial number or, when not available,
manufacturer date code (eg for memory).
Detailed reason: Detailed description of the reason for
return. In case of „Warranty RMA“ we need a detailed
description of the technical failure in English.
Invoice Avnet invoice number or, when not availble
Avnet delivery number.
RMA Approval Form
You are only allowed to send back products when they
have been approved for return on an RMA approval
form.
The RMA approval form expires after 10 calendar days.
Packaging
All boxes must have the RMA number visible on the
outside of the box and must have a copy of the RMA
Approval Form.
If you send back multiple RMA numbers, please pack
them in separate boxes by RMA. Each box must have
th RMA number visible on the outside of the box and
must have a copy of the RMA approval form. These can
then be packed together in an outer box, but all separate
RMA numbers must be visible on the outside of the outer
box.
You are required to have the product properly packed,
so that any product or packaging damage that can occur
during shipment, is eliminated.

In case of „Other RMA“ when returning product in retail
or original manufacturer cartons for replacement or credit, please ensure that these are properly packed so that
the product is fit for immediate resale.
Articles, which are sensitiv to static electricity, such as
(but not limited to) PCB boards, memory modules, hard
disk drives and CPU‘s should be packed in anti-static
packaging.
Accessories
In case of „ Warranty RMA“, you should not return accessories such as software, instruction books or cables
etc. One exception is the original fan in case of a retail
boxed CPU. In this way you can apply for the extended
warranty.
Changes
We do not accept any goods that have changed. Moreover, in case of remarked CPU‘s, we will confiscate the
items found and not credit them following our suppliers
terms and conditions.
Reception Progress
On arrival at our warehouse we will check the product
against our RMA approval form and check compliance
with the above mentioned mandatory return requirements. If you fully comply, we will confirm you by email
the quantity per part number of the product ww have
received.
In all other cases, you should return all accessories.
In the case you do not get the email confirmation within
10 working days after the product was shipped or in
case of any discrepancies you find, compared to the product you dispatched, you should contact us immediately.
Labels
Replacement and Credit Process
Labels on products are only allowed if they do not have
any contact with surface mounted components or PCB.
This means we do not accept CPU‘s and memory modules with other labels than the original manufacturer
labels. All boxes must be free from foreign lable and
markings.
When we replace a product this will be an identical,
equivalent, refurbished or upgrade product.
When we issue a credit note this will be at then - current
value.
eRMA Web Application
Testing
In case of „Warranty RMA“ you are only allowed to send
us technical defective products: we might (at our discretion) test the products with test equipment approved by
the manufacturer.
