How to Use 1. Initial Use Press down the battery cover to open it and install two AA size 1.5V alkaline batteries paying attention to the battery polarity. Close the battery cover. Insert the mouthpiece to the slot. O N 2. How to test Breath Alcohol Concentration a) Press the button to power on. The total number of tests performed will be displayed briefly. Then it starts a countdown automatically. b) When the countdown reaches "0" (zero), then blow through the mouthpiece for more than 4~5 seconds till you hear a double beep signal. c) Once the sensor has analyzed the breath sample, it displays the estimated B lood Al cohol C oncentration. AD R 3. Beep alarm (Audible warning) If the Blood Alcohol Concentration reading is over 0.05%BAC (0.5g/l, 0.25mg/L, 50mg/100ml), then beep alarm will sound. H Alerts : Battery Low The battery power is low. Please replace the batteries. Flow Error The breath sample was not sufficient. Please repeat the testing process, ensuring a continuous, five second breath sample. Time Out If the user does not blow within 10 seconds, the unit displays [Out] and shuts down. Calibration The unit requires recalibration or maintenance. Important safety information O N Allow at least 20 minutes between the last consumption of alcohol and testing. For more accurate testing, it is recommended to recalibrate the sensor every 6 months or after 200 tests. For protection of the sensor, avoid direct ray of light, extreme temperature, humid place, keep the device in a well ventilated place and keep out of reach of children. When not used for a long time, keep the device after taking out the batteries. In case of reuse after long-term storage, there might be high tolerance of test result for about first 3 tests. Do NOT leave the device together with newspaper or alcohol containing materials. Do NOT blow smoke, saliva or other contaminants into the mouthpiece, as the sensor may be damaged. Do NOT block the air hole apposite to the mouthpiece during the test, as it may damage the sensor. We recommend you to replace the disposable mouthpiece for sanitary purpose. Do NOT use the device as a tool to drink and drive. The manufacturer and seller will not take any legal responsibility for the measured test value. For any defects due to natural disaster or customer's negligence, misuse, reconstruction and repair by unauthorized person, reasonable cost shall be charged for repair or part replacement.
