*The hook opening caused by the traction of 1,5T is of 1,5mm, can’t cause the 10mm cable (the smallest diameter used) to come out
of the hook.
The measures C.M.R were obtained
from multiple tests, verified and attested
by Bureau Veritas (TIC).

Cable clamp to deviate
1/ P ut a shackle or a cable thimble, then cable on the support (e.g. cable, slinging device, pole...)
All the supports must have a greater resistance than the anchorage plate’s.
2/ U nscrew the cable clamps and take off the cable clamps’ shoes, use the screws corresponding to the diameter
of the cable.
3/ P ut the cable in its slot
Screws cable of 10mm = bolts 8x30mm (hot dip galvanised).
Screws cable of 12mm = bolts 10x35mm (hot dip galvanised).
For cable of 10mm provide a washer M8 per bolt.
4/ Adjust the cable clamps’ shoes and tighten the nuts. Apply the below torque.
5/ Use a torque wrench to indicated values:

ADVICE IN MOUNTING
Use some grease to tighten the bolts.
Tighten them slowly in order not to deform the plate.
While tightening, make sure that the cable clamps’ shoes are straight (equally tightened on both sides).
Each scope of cable must be fixed by 2 anchorage plate (one at the beginning and one at the end).
4/ ATTACHMENT OF HOOK TO THE LANYARD
Link Safety Hook Vert Voltige Innovation with a standardised lanyard by a standardised maillon rapide 8mm.
Tighten it with a wrench. (It can’t be opened by hand.)

5/ MOUNTING OF COURSE
A. EXISTENT COURSE:
1. Put a coil of cable at the beginning or at the end of the trail to make it ready. Then unroll the cable along
the trail (think about the passage of future participants) and place a pulley on each tree to make sure the cable
unrolls properly (All this at the level of your previous lifeline).
2. Leave 1m of a loose cable at the beginning and place the first anchorage plate (photo below), tighten without
applying the exact torque.
Stand at the arrival point of the first game and place a power puller (cable puller, haul system...) on your anchorage support
(the same as for your anchorage plate) and tension the cable respecting the allowed measures.
Power puller
Direction of tension
Anchorage plate
Put a anchorage plate behind the power puller (or other) and tighten the cable clamps without applying
the exact torque (visual tightening correct).
Remove the power puller.
3. The last cable clamp on the anchorage plate deviates lightly the cable to create an ideal curve
for the passage of the hook.
Don’t hesitate to bend down a little your cable (by hand) to emphasize the curve and make the cable stick
to the plate at the exit.
If the cable does not stick to the plate well, the passage of the hook will be more difficult!
The cable must always lean down at the exit of the plate (think about it while placing the plate).
Leave some loose cable between 2 anchorage plates around trees.
Anchorage plate
Anchorage plate
Place some cleats around the trunk to protect tree bark from cable abrasion and from passage of the hook.
Repeat the operation on all the courses and keep the previous lifeline location.
Keep 1 meter of a loose cable at the end of the course and cut the cable.
4. CHECK THE TORQUE!
Tighten all the cable clamps with a torque wrench / spanner, apply the torque suitable to the diameter
of the cable used.
Tighten all the shackles with a pair of pliers. (It can’t be opened by hand.).
In your lifeline is lightly inclined on some courses, we recommend putting the stops in the middle of the cable
(for example to avoid a participant’s depart on a pulley).
B. NON-EXISTENT COURSE
1. Unroll the cable along a trail (think about the passage of future participants) and place a pulley on each tree
to make sure the cable unrolls properly.
2. If there are zip lines, block the cable with 2 anchorage plates without adjusting the last cable clamp (to deviate)
and check the tilt of the cable. (Important: The zip lines determine on the rest of the course, their good adjustment
is essential.)
3. Then follow the instructions as for an existent course. (above)
6/ TARZAN SWING
1. To equip the Tarzan swing, a cable will run all along the swing.
To avoid a participant’s rubbing, you can use Deltex cable of 13,6mm.
2. The cable has to deviate lightly from the swing trajectory in the direction of the swing end and it has to consider
the pendulum made by a participant.
Details of Tarzan swing equipment:
The anchorage plate of the arrival of the lifeline has to be placed in the closest place to the reception net.

7/ COURSES WITH VERTICAL OR
OF GREAT INCLINATION ASCENTS
For the vertical or of great inclination courses,
use the T’s made for this purpose.
They are fixed to the cable by 3 cable clamps
and they should be spaced out of 50cm max.
An anchorage plate has to be placed
at the beginning of vertical ascent.
The T’s can be used in Via Ferrata
in the intermediate points.
For the cable of 12mm or Deltex, the 2 middle bolts
of T have to be installed back to front (bolt head
against cable clamp shoe and nut against T).

The T specially made for Via Ferrata and anchorage on the rocks.
It is fixed directly in the cliff.
It is used as the intermediate point on the horizontal lifeline.
8/ THE USE OF THE SYSTEM
The VERT VOLTIGE INNOVATION system is a passive system of class E (the safest) and it allows the participants
to progress without the risk of a fall.
However, it is important for the qualified staff to check that the safety hook is well placed on the lifeline at the beginning
of each trail.
Additionally, it is necessary to verify the good state of equipment each time is it released:
- shackle attached to the safety hook tightened with a pair of pliers (check up after evacuation)
- shackle at the level of the cross plate (check up after evacuation)
- shackle at the level of the cables ruptures (check up after evacuation)
9/ LIFELINE RUPTURE FOR EVACUATION
AND CABLE KNOTTING
You can make some breaks in the lifeline to ease the evacuation of participants.
You need to place a maillon rapide joining the cable between 2 anchorage plates, in the platform section.
Make 2 classic braids of the cable and join them by a maillon rapide (tighten with a wrench).
Other evacuation procedures (without maillon rapide) are possible, find picture below.
The system allows to knot the cable between 2 plates in accordance with applicable norms.
Cable with cable by standard cable clamps, 4 in one direction and 4 in the other.
In this way, it is not obligatory to use only 1 cable for all the trails.
The damaged section can be easily replaced without changing the totality of the cable.
Maillon rapide
10/ CROSS PLATE
Continuous belay system ‘Vert Voltige Innovation’ allows to bifurcate the trails.
(To ease the flow of participants, to create overtaking passages or to stop the beginners from doing difficult games)
To place the cross plate, you need to, instead of using a standard anchorage plate, cut the cable and create 2 braids
of the cable (with 3 or 4 cable clamps corresponding to the diameter of the cable). Attach a maillon rapide to the braid
and suspend it on the cross plate.
Repeat the operation for both possible trails around the tree. The cross plate anchorage must be created
withsteel cables of 10mm minimum (no sling).
You can use the both sides of the platform for overtaking and for returning on the cross plate.
You can lead the participants to the evacuation points.
The use of cross plates requires the safety hooks to have bolts that do not allow the hook exit from the system.
The choice of direction is made by the hook rotation.
The hook handling has to be explained to the participants before the courses.

11/ ADVICE
We recommend our service to launch the new equipment, which takes min 1 day and explains different
system configurations.
Each element has to be used in accordance to the instructions, otherwise no ‘Vert Voltige Innovation’ warranty
will be granted.
