698-7800 Keypad Backplate
Description
The 698-7800 Keypad Backplate is a mounting plate configured for retrofitting 7800 Series Keypads into older 7000
Series Keypad wall installations. The 698-7800 is constructed of white or black plexiglass, provides a sturdy keypad
wall mounting option, and is designed to provide full coverage for existing 7000 Series mounting holes and other
imperfections of the mounting wall.

• Four .58" flat-head Phillips screws
Four #6 .25" Phillips screws
Mounting the Keypad Backplate
1.Remove existing keypad from the desired mounting location.
2.Align the keypad backplate to cover the four corner mounting holes of the old 7000 Series keypad (if used).
3.Use the four flat-head Phillips screws to attach the keypad backplate to the wall using the countersunk
backplate or electrical box mounting holes. If an electrical box is not provided, use wall anchors. Do not
overtighten. Refer to Figure 1 as needed.
4.Mount the 7800 Series keypad to the backplate using the provided .25" Phillips screws in the 7800 Keypad
mounting holes. Refer to the 7800 Series Installation Guide (LT-1162) as needed.
