· Design of an Active Gate Drive and protection circuits for high power IGBTs. The US Office of Naval
Research sponsored this project for its advanced electric ship initiative. The gate drive is targeted for
application in high performance IGBT based Power Electronic Building Blocks. The project objective
is to optimize switching characteristics and integrate this with fault protection strategy.
· Design of an 80kW Resonant DC Link power converter for an electric vehicle. The objective is to
evaluate a resonant power converter topology for electric vehicle drive application. The converter was
designed, constructed, tested and delivered to Delphi Energy & Engine Management Systems.
· Taught the graduate Power Electronics Laboratory and TA for Circuits Laboratory. Laboratory instructor for Electro-Mechanical Power Conversion and Introductory Laboratory courses.
