Mouser First to Stock the Littelfuse SP1026 Ultra-Small TVS Array
May 19, 2016 – Mouser Electronics, Inc. is first to stock the SP1026 transient-voltage-suppression
(TVS) diode array from Littelfuse. The Zener diode device protects sensitive electronic equipment
against extreme electrostatic discharge (ESD) conditions in a very small 0201, flat-topped surface
mount package. The SP1026 is specifically designed to suppress fast-rising electrostatic
discharges up to 30kV with an industry-low (for 0201 package) leakage current of only 0.5µA at 5V.
Based on proprietary silicon avalanche technology, the SP1026 device is ideal for ESD protection
in mobile devices, tablets, smartwatches, navigation devices, and non-life-saving medical devices.
The ultra-small Littelfuse SP1026 TVS diode array, available from Mouser Electronics, is
designed protect each input/output (I/O) pin and to provide a high level of protection for electronic
equipment that may experience destructive ESD. The robust diode array can safely absorb
repetitive ESD strikes at ±30kV (meeting IEC 61000-4-2 standards for consumer equipment)
without performance degradation, when correctly integrated into a circuit design. Additionally, each
diode can safely dissipate 5A of 8/20μs surge current (meeting IEC 61000-4-5 standards for
lightning and industrial surges) with very low clamping voltages. The ultra-low 0.5µA leakage
current ensures minimal power losses, making the device ideal for protecting battery-powered
electronics like wearables.
