OUR ASPIRATION
Fostering high potential
markets and empowering
the industry.
I
nvestments in high-potential markets such as eMobility, renewable energy, IT and communication are
driving global economic growth. All of these markets
are bringing forth a host of new products and services.
Industrial strip made of various kinds of copper and alloys in brass, bronze and cupronickel are an essential
component of these products. The automotive, power
generation, electronics and electrical industries rely on
our industrial strips because of their outstanding prop-
erties. Industrial strip is an all-rounder and genuinely
able to adapt to every sector. We manufacture MKM
strip using the Conti-M® technology which we developed ourselves. It bypasses the conventional step of
hot-rolling slabs, working instead continuously from
liquid to solid state. However specialised the requirements may be, our advanced material helps to power
successful business in industry.

INDUSTRIAL STRIP
Industry 4.0? We supply
the right strip.
I
ndustry 4.0 would be impossible without the universal genius known as industrial strip. Industrial strip is a
high-quality strip with a width of between 10 and 1220 mm.
It has ideal processing properties and is therefore used in
many areas of industry: automotive applications, electrical
industry, electrical engineering, power, architecture, and
many more. From heat exchangers, to lamp sockets, to
gaskets – our customers love MKM strip because it can be
punched, bent, deep-drawn, milled, galvanised, fire-tinned
or welded.
Our expertise – your gain
That is for certain. 95% of our industrial strips are precision-made according to our customers’ requirements.
That’s because our customers’ specifications – strengths,
ring weights, thickness and width tolerances, surface properties – are generally more stringent than the equivalent
industrial standards. High-potential markets are dynamic
and development cycles are short; innovations create endless new sets of standards. But that doesn’t worry us – it
means happy developers.
4
We want to get the best possible results from strip, and
of course we assist our customers in improving their
production processes. For instance we adapt the interior and exterior diameters of our coils to their reeling and
weight requirements. We know that things usually have to
move quickly, sometimes very quickly indeed. If you want
to secure yourself an advantage, then simply choose the
quickest and the best: industrial strip from MKM.
Industry 4.0 can be a thing of beauty: classic industrial strip in copper and its alloys brass and bronze

INDUSTRIAL STRIP
Our copper –

F
rom years of experience we know that our customers
value copper’s special qualities – criteria that affect
processing, precise bendability, straightness of the strip
edge, cross-curvature and ripple along the length of the
strip. We can adapt our products to your requirements on

request. As well as its attractive pricing, MKM offers other
benefits that give you a competitive edge. Talk to us about
these properties and about available tolerances. We look

MKM supplies strip in every temper from deep drawing quality to spring hard compliant with EN 1652 and EN 1654, JIS, ASTM and others, both
tempered and annealed to specific grain sizes. We can discuss deviations from standardised tempers with you. Our edges are cut with minimum
of burr, re-rolled burr-free, or offered rounded with a non-defined edge radius. The geometry of our strips also complies with the aforementioned
European standards and is agreed on contractually should you require any restrictions. Computerised surface inspection units are used to test
our material for surface defects and screen out where necessary.

MKM supplies preliminary strip, industrial strip, transformer strip, cable and HF cable strip and roofing strip. We manufacture all of our strip products using our Conti-M® technology which we developed inhouse, using continous casting technology to achieve a uninterrupted 24/7 process.
SHEETS, PLATES AND DISCS
MKM offers sheets, plates and discs in a wide range of dimensions. Our rolling mill is supplied by
our own foundries. Our strengths lie in a rich range of more than fifty alloys. We can also produce
plates and discs to customer specific drawings on request.
WIRE
MKM supplies the entire spectrum of wire rod, from thick, medium and fine wire to stranded wire
and wire rope. Our fully integrated Contirod® technology allows us to offer copper wire products
and alloy wire products (plain and tinned) with a wide range of finishes.
TUBES
MKM supplies tubes of different lengths, diameters and thicknesses. Our HETCU® (installation tubing) and HETCOOL® (refrigeration, air conditioning and medical technology) product families
are extremely well established in the market. Consistent quality management from our own
continuous casting plant, right through to the tube drawing process guarantees seamless tubing
with outstanding quality.
BARS
MKM is one of Europe’s leading producers of copper bars and profiles. Our production range encompasses a wide range of sizes in various grades of copper. We also produce customised profiles
based on technical drawings.
We can manufacture any of our products in compliance with the relevant DIN standards, internationally established standards and custom requirements.
All of our packaging is appropriate to the products it contains.
