OEM 3200 Series
Utilising 100 Years of Global Experience in Corrosion Prevention
to Protect your Assets and Maximise Return On Investment
Making a World of Difference
Akzo Nobel International Protective Coatings offer
technologically driven OEM product range based on the
foundation of ongoing commitment to understanding of
the unique needs of the Agriculture and Construction
Equipment (ACE) market.
Having to operate and service in diverse climatic
conditions across the world makes asset protection,
aesthetic consistency and durability critical issues for
our partners in the ACE market. Making the right
choices can often impact long term returns as well as
in-service performance – issues close to the heart of
any organisation.
To this end, we offer robust International OEM 3200
Series which strikes a balance to deliver proven
performance, value for money and environmentally
responsible product and services that consistently
perform for the OEM owners, production plants
and subcontractors.
Specially Designed for
• Construction and Earthmoving Equipment
• Road Construction Equipment
• Mining Equipment
• Agricultural Equipment
• Forestry Equipment
• Material Handling Equipment
Range Characteristics
OEM 3200 Product Series comprises of wide range of Direct
to Metal (DTM) resin technologies to deliver the following
value propositions whilst driving production plant total costs
down.
1 Provides the security of conventional coatings systems
tuned for this market or the opportunity for advancement
to differentiated technology supply.
2 A high solids, low VOC product range that offers
flexibility of choice from conventional epoxy, alkyd and
polyurethane technologies to the innovative ultra high
solids polyaspartic technology.
3 The ability to apply all product technologies Direct to
Metal, between 60-150 microns dry film thickness in one
layer, enabling production efficiency.
4 The capability to stove at 25–40°C reduces energy
consumption and the carbon footprint of production
plants.

Colour and Gloss
International OEM 3200 Series presents extensive range
of gloss and colour to allow aesthetic consistency and
compatibility with different assembled parts coated with
other coating technologies such as powder or e-coats.
Brand Identity That Lasts
OEM 3200 product series delivers a number of versatile
durability advantages for ACE manufactures. Its colour
capabilities help organisations blend in the market or stand
out to differentiate from competition. It is designed to
minimise impact on the environment, as well as to protect
your investment.
The colour and gloss retention of some of the OEM 3200
Series products can last up to two times that of traditional
coating technologies. The UV degradation is lower, ensuring
the colour and gloss you see today will last longer over
the years.
Performance
Corrosion Protection
Corrosion protection performance depends on the substrate
and surface preparation/pre-treatment (surface cleanness
and profile). Higher levels of surface preparation is one of the
major factors contributing to better corrosion resistance;
hence longer asset life time.
International OEM 3200 Series primers and DTM primer/
finishes have been designed to meet customer corrosion
resistance requirements over respective substrates and
surface preparation techniques commonly used in the
ACE market (degreasing, sanding, blasting,
iron or zinc phosphate washing).
Mechanical Properties
Chemical Resistance
All International OEM 3200 products have been formulated
to exceed the highly demanding ACE market expectations
in mechanical requirements such as adhesion, hardness,
flexibility mandrel (bend), block resistance and
impact resistance.
The International OEM 3200 product series is designed to
resist attack from chemical agents such as unleaded
gasoline, diesel fuel, lubricant oil, hydraulic fluids, engine
coolants, alkali and acid solutions.

Sustainable Growth
International OEM 3200 Series has been developed in such
a way to deliver the same or better functionality for the
customer application but has a clear eco-efficiency benefit
over mainstream products.
Ultra high solids Intercure 3240 with Volatile Organic Content
less than 250g/Lt (US EPA Method 24) can cure upto 50ºC
lower than standard products, resulting in substantial energy
and production savings, whilst delivering aesthetically
pleasing appearance.
