Entering patient orders should be done after Medication Reconciliation for Admission and Transfer has been performed.
This eliminates reconciling the same medication orders entered.
Below are icons located on the Navigator:

Add an Order
From the patient's chart, click the Add Order icon.

Search for the medication or order by typing the first letters
of its name in the Find field. (Search by either “Starts with” or “Contains”.)
2.
Click on the name of your desired medication from those displayed.
3.
Review and complete any order details.
4.
Click the Sign button in the lower right corner
5.
Click the Refresh button in the upper right corner

From the patient's chart, click the Add Order icon.
Click +Add
Search for and select medication.
Click the Dose Calculator icon to display the calculator.
Type the target dose in target dose field and select from drop-down menu

To apply calculated final dose to order, click Apply Dose.
Power Plans
A PowerPlan is a diagnosis driven collection of
pre-built orders that allow clinicians to plan and
coordinate patients care by bundling orders together.
Power Plans can be designed ahead of time and initiated
when a patient is admitted. Additional orders can also
be added to the plan when ordered or after it has been initiated.
Order a Power Plan
1. Click the Orders link.
2. Click the Add icon.
3. Type the first few characters of the plan name in the search field and click Search.
4. Click once on the plan name with the Power Plan icon in front of it.
5. Click Done.
6. Check or uncheck the orders to include/exclude.
7. Click Initiate.
8. Click Sign and then click the Refresh button
Add an Order to a PowerPlan
1. Display the PowerPlan on the Orders screen
by clicking it in the View column.
2. Click Add to Phase icon and the Add Order window
opens.
3. Enter the order in the Search field
4. Highlight the correct order and click Done.
The Add Order window closes.
5. The Order in now located on the orders pane, enter the order details.
6. Click Sign and then click the Refresh button.
Discontinue a Power Plan
1. Right-click the plan in the View Column.
2. Select Discontinue from the drop-down.
3. Choose a discontinue reason from the menu.
4. Click the box next to each order you wish to continue.
6. Sign and refresh the order.
CareSets
A CareSet is a smaller prebuilt collection of orders that
contains a number of individual orders used primarily for
a specific purpose such as a test.
Care sets in the Add Order window are marked by the care set icon.
Individual orders within a care set can be edited and modified like any other order.
