NORTHERN FLORIDA SECTION
Good Day to All!
Yes, it’s that time again! I hope you had a GREAT summer, and are ready for fall! Here’s some
updates in the Northern Florida Section.

Webmaster Ed W9CHA, now has dedicated pages to various interests across the hobby.
I encourage you to visit the site at: http://arrl-nfl.org/wp/ and “sign-up” for the section
e-mail blog notification. Easy, simple to do, and you get notifications of postings sent to
you free of charge! If you have suggestions, please let Ed know via the web page!

Updated ARRL Appointments – still in the process of contacting the 200 plus
appointments and updating the list and appointments. (Have sifted through 40 or so this
past month). If you are interested in an ARRL appointment, let me know! I am looking
for a Section Emergency Coordinator…..if you have any background in emergency
management, public safety, planning or the like, or the desire to learn, please consider
this very important position!

Attached is the inaugural copy of our brand new, NFL Section Newsletter! Thanks to
Harry K2BBM for taking on the initial process of coordinating the information. We need
a name for the Newsletter….so….a Newsletter Naming Contest!! The winner receives a
2014 ARRL Handbook! See the newsletter article for more information. This month, we
have highlights about the Central Florida QRP Group, and Neighborhood HamWatch.
Please take a look and tell me what you think! A copy will be posted on the NFL Web
Page.

New Appointments in August: Please welcome Al Richter as the new EC of Lake County.
Also, please welcome Official Observer Jay Musikar AF2C, and Official Emergency
Station Doug Priest W3CF. Thank you for volunteering!
