favorite prints and ten coordinating solids to make your own version of this
quilt. Each solid will make 12 Nine-Patch Blocks, 2 Flower Blocks, and one
of your solids will also be an accent border (orange solid in this quilt)

Piecing the Blocks and Sashing Strips
1 Referring to Diagram I-A, sew together 2 matching assorted solid and 1 turquoise print WOF strips to make strip set A. Make 10
total. Press in direction of arrows. Cut into 240 segments 1H˝ wide. In same manner, use 2 turquoise print and 1 assorted bright
print strips to make strip set B (Diagram I-B). Make 5 total. Press, and cut into 120 segments 1H˝ wide. Referring to Diagram I-C,
sew together 2 matching A and 1 B segments to make Nine-Patch Block. Make 120 total.

2 Draw diagonal line on wrong side of assorted solid 2˝ square. Referring to Diagram II-A, place marked square on turquoise print
2˝ x 2H˝ rectangle, right sides together, aligning raw edges. Stitch on drawn line; trim away and discard excess fabric. Open and
press to make pieced rectangle. Make 8 from each of 10 solid fabrics. In similar manner, make 8 pieced rectangles in 2nd orientation (Diagram II-B) from each of 10 solid fabrics.

Assembling the Quilt Top
Note: Refer to Assembly Diagram for following steps.
5 To make top and bottom rows, sew together 2 turquoise print 3H˝ squares, 5 Nine-Patch Blocks, and 4 turquoise print 3H˝ x 8H˝
strips each. Sew 6 rows of 2 Nine-Patch Blocks, 5 turquoise print 3H˝ squares, and 4 pieced sashing strips each. Sew 5 rows of 2
turquoise print 3H˝ x 8H˝ strips, 5 pieced sashing strips, and 4 Flower Blocks each. Sew rows together as shown.
6 Sew turquoise print 68˝ strips to sides; trim even with top and bottom. Stitch remaining turquoise print 68˝ strips to top/bottom;
trim even with sides. In same manner, sew remaining borders to quilt, adding side strips first for each border and trimming even
after each addition.
Quilting and Finishing
7 Layer, baste, and quilt. Tricia machine quilted an allover loop design using turquoise thread. Bind with turquoise print.
