NICROFLEX Stainless Steel
Unpacked Interlocked Metal Hose
Universal STEELFLEX and NICROFLEX unpacked flexible tubing products are strip-wound interlocked hose made from
hot-dipped galvanized carbon steel and type 304 stainless steel, respectively. There are six different gauge thicknesses
to choose from, depending on the severity of service. They can be twisted without unraveling. STEELFLEX is rated for
service conditions to 750° F and NICROFLEX to 1000° F.

To calculate the outside diameters of the hose add the
tabulated value in the right-hand column to the inside
diameters in Column 1 of the table on the reverse side
of the page.
Ordering Instructions
Optional Materials
To order bulk hose, specify the basic configuration (U100G, U-100S, U-100HG, etc.) followed by the size dash
number from Column 2 of the table on the reverse side
of this page. Consult the factory or a distributor of
UNIVERSAL products for available standard lengths. Cut
lengths or complete assemblies are also available.
These basic configurations are also available made from
aluminum, bronze, and other stainless steel alloys.
Example:
P/N U-100G-016 specifies 1/2" inside
diameter standard weight galvanized steel
unpacked interlocked hose (0.010"-0.012"
material thickness).
UNIVERSAL has the total capability to machine, weld,
braze, and test complete assemblies made from these
products. Specify the tubing configuration or
application, size, overall length, and fittings required.
Applications
STEELFLEX and NICROFLEX are ideal for pressure and
vacuum applications such as Suction and Blower
Hose…dust and flume collection, ventilating and blowpipe systems, and agricultural dusters and fog systems.
Engine Exhausts…bendable exhaust and tailpipes, and
garage exhaust fume collectors. Armoring and
Shielding…electrical wiring, refrigeration supply lines,
and convoluted hose internal liners and external covers.
