Support the vision and ethos of The Sherwood School.
Be responsible for and manage the overall administration, co-ordination and implementation of the Extended
Services provision at The Sherwood School. This includes the provision of breakfast clubs form 7.30am and after
school activities until 6pm each school day.
Be responsible for effective communication between school and Parents/Carers.
Be responsible for producing and maintaining financial accounts for the Extended Services provision.
Support school programmes for student support, welfare and inclusion.
Line manage and provide leadership to selected support staff and be a Team Leader within the school’s
Performance Management Policy for those staff.
Participate in the recruitment process for new staff joining the school in the extended services team.
Be aware of and comply with policies and procedures relating to child protection, health, safety and security,
confidentiality and data protection, copyright, etc. reporting all concerns to the Business Manager.

Co-ordinate with the Business Manager on matters relating to Parent and Family support and financial management
of accounts.
Develop relationships with “hard to reach parents” and target groups identified as needing support.
Promoting the extended services offer with parents, students and the local community.
Developing relationships with the young people in order to steer them towards activities that will engage them.
Dealing with the bidding and ordering of goods and services from the budget for activities.
Responsibility for producing marketing and promotional literature regarding to extended services e.g. information
on the website, booklets, emails, presentations etc. for student, staff and parents.
Investigate funding opportunities through bid writing, applying for grants and partnership opportunities.
Establish constructive relationships and communicate with other agencies / professionals.
Establish active working relationship with school governors.
Attend and participate in meetings as appropriate.
Supporting outside providers running extended services activities.
Taking registers and keeping the tracking systems up to date.
Be responsible for monitoring and determining holiday applications in connection with individual parents and
students.
General
The post holder will:

Be flexible to ensure the operational needs of the school are met. This includes undertaking duties of a similar
nature and responsibility as and when required, throughout the various places of work in the school.

Play a full part in the life of the school community; support the school’s priorities and ethos and encourage staff and
students to follow this example.
Undertake personal professional development activities.
Attend all parental consultation evenings, open evenings and celebration evenings as per the school calendar.
Undertake any other responsibilities as reasonably requested by the Headteacher.
