ARS Lac St-Louis Obligations for Refereeing in the Lac St. Louis Region I, the undersigned .................................................................................., referee for the ARS Lac StLouis, acknowledge the requirements listed below for the refereeing activities in the ARS Lac StLouis: 1. I am registered as referee for the current year and I am aware that the amount related to the affiliation will be debited from my PTS-REF account. 2. I agree to be available to the extent possible to carry out my duties as a referee, referee assistant or 4th official. 3. I agree to participate in the referee meetings. My absences could affect my assignments. 4. I must immediately notify the Director of the referee of any basis on which could be made an allegation of conflict or bias on interest, activity or relationship of the member. 5. I am aware of the point 37.3 of the Disciplinary Rules of the Quebec Soccer Federation: Referees do not have the right to officiate games in non-affiliated-leagues. The fact of officiating games in unaffiliated leagues is an offense and the referees may be summoned to appear before the Provincial Disciplinary Committee and may be suspended for a maximum period of 10 years. 6. I am aware of the current administrative fees and the procedures related to these charges. 7. I am aware of the classification of referee groups and the category of games assigned to each group. 8. If I am unable to officiate a game, I must notify the assignor and the Director as soon as possible (supporting document may be required). 9. I will refrain from publicly criticizing refereeing. 10. I am aware that I must engage actively in activities related to refereeing. 11. I am aware that I must prepare myself physically for my games. Otherwise, it could affect my assignments. 12. I am aware that I need to update my knowledge of the FIFA Laws of the Game and all specific regulations related to the competitions. Otherwise, it could affect my assignments. 13. I am aware that I must have a responsible and respectful behavior towards coaches, players, spectators and colleagues. 14. To receive financial compensation every 2 weeks for games refereed, I must provide a voided check, if not, the payment for these expenses will be paid by check at the end of the season. 15. Soccer officials (referees, assistant referees, assessors and trainers) are considered selfemployed. Therefore, it is your responsibility to report to the various levels of government the income you received during the year.
