From 16 to 18 September 2014, Ente Moda Italia will be back in Kazakhstan for
the sixth time at “Central Asia Fashion” showcasing 22 Italian brands on one of
the most promising former-Soviet Union markets
Ente Moda Italia will be one of the key players at this edition of “Central Asia Fashion” to be held from
16 to 18 September 2014, at the Expo Centre Atakent in Almaty showcasing new women’s and
men’s clothing and accessory collections by 22 Italian brands for spring-summer 2015. This is the
sixth time that EMI is participating in what is the key fashion trade fair for the Central Asian and
neighboring markets.
“The Almaty fair is becoming one of the key references in our international trade event offering”, says
Antonio Gavazzeni, president of Ente Moda Italia. “This is borne out by the fact that many of the
exhibitors have been showing there since the first edition and by the interesting new entries this
season – a clear signal of the event’s importance as an effective medium for entering the markets of
the Caucasian and Central Asian republics. What’s more, Italian exports to Kazakhstan are either
remaining steady or are showing interesting growth in specific segments of the fashion industry.
Therefore, the “Italian Fashion” area at the fair is of strategic importance for working with local
retailers and for establishing new contacts with buyers from the neighboring markets of Kirghizstan,
Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan”.
“Over the past few years, Kazakhstan has quickly developed a sophisticated retail fashion market,”
adds Alberto Scaccioni, CEO of EMI, “mainly in Almaty, where there is a network of high-end
shopping malls and stores. The population’s income is rising, the people are interested in spending
their money on fashion and that is why Italian goods have excellent margins. So we want to invest
more in the Almaty fair in terms of image and presenting our firms as well as in specific actions
targeting local fashion retailers and distributions to expand and strengthen our promotional network.
We work to meet the needs of small and medium-sized Italian firms as we accompany them along the
road to internationalization”.
Here are the Italian WOMEN’S and MEN’s collections that will be presented in the special “Italian
Fashion @ Central Asia Fashion” area:
AD MILANO, CEPPARULO, COLB, DIBEN LINGERIE, FEMI', GIO' FERRARI, GREEN COAST,
