Insulating Covers for Type PMX Solderless Connectors
Type PMXC
Covers
Use
Type PMXC Covers are made of molded
phenolic which has high dielectric and
mechanical strength and will not support
combustion. They are fastened together by
stainless steel spring clips making a
compact installation which requires no
taping. Split neoprene rings bonded into the
cover on PMXC-0404 through PMXC-2424
provide a snug fit over wire insulation for the
wide range of wire sizes shown and keep
out dust and foreign matter.

Note:
On PMXC-2504 through PMXC-9292 holes
are factory drilled to accommodate the outside diameters of the cables. Cable O.D.’s
and conductor sizes must be specified.

UL Listed: E-7512
UL Voltage Rating on covers is
300V. maximum on PMXC-0404
through PMXC-2504.
600V. maximum on PMXC-3504
through PMXC-9292.
UL operating temperature limit on
covers is 150°C.
Special Applications:
Covers on PMXC-0404 through PMXC2424 as furnished will accommodate Thru
Main to Dead End Tap, but can be used for
Thru Man to Thru Tap by the simple removal
of the fin covering the second tap opening
in the cover. Where Dead End Main to Dead
End Tap connection is desired, a disc is
available for blanking-out the unnecessary
main opening if requested. The larger size
covers are regularly drilled to accommodate Thru Main to Dead End Tap. They can
be drilled to accommodate the other two
arrangements as pictured at right if specified.
