Communication of Unit Starts and Stops MCS Message for Start/Stops XML Transfer Notifications 12/04/2012 MSC Meeting Bill Johnson Unit Start / Stop Notifications Plan for Discontinuing reminder calls for Starts/Stops • 2/21: First Presentation of Power Point to the RSC • 4/16: Discontinued Stop Calls at 0000 on 4/16/2012 • 6/11: Discontinued Start Calls at 0000 on 6/11/2012 with the exception of Txx (Transmission Constraint needs), CRD (Contingency Reserve Deployment), short lead capacity resource (<30Minute start), Emergency/ Abnormal condition and if wanting to start a unit inside of the submitted offer parameters. • TBD: All Start / Stop Calls will be discontinued at 0000 on TBD with the exception of calls during an Emergency or Abnormal condition and if MISO wants to start a unit inside of the submitted offer parameters. 2 Unit Start / Stop Notifications Status Update (thru 11/28/12) • Unit stop changes sent since 4/16/12 -- 5449 • • 28 missed by participants There were some issues introduced with the Patch 11-2 & 12-0, all have been corrected Units start changes sent since 6/11/12 -- 5016 • 38 missed by participants Reminder If something doesn’t look right don’t hesitate to call 3 Starts/Stops from the MCS You will be required to You will be required to / acknowledge the start acknowledge start / stop for each the Commitment stop – checkbox Period by clickingforoneach the Commitment Commitment Period Period Units will be sorted alphabetically Changes to the screen 1) The “ACK” checkbox has been removed – replaced with #2 2) “Unacked” commitment periods will be edged in red and have an exclamation mark as well 3) After you have “Ack’d” the commitment period a check will replace the exclamation mark 4) Commitment box colors have been lightened for better viewing 5) Timeline has been changed to HE (Hour Ending) from what was showing hour beginning 6) Unit names will be the Operator Names and not the EMS names 7) In the pop up the unit name will be the EMS name 8) The one who “Ack’d” the commitment will show on the pop up 4 Notification Banners Gen Start/Stop Testing 5 Notification Banners Gen Start/Stop Not Updating 6 Notification Banners ICCP Outage – Switch to XML 7 Start/Stop Notifications in the MCS What you will be able to do: • • You will be able to select the date to be viewed (2 days back - 7 days ahead) Hover over the Commitment Period for; • • • • • • • The Actual Start and Stop time Commitment source (DA, FRAC or IRAC) Start Reason You will be required to acknowledge the Commitment Period by clicking in the Commitment Period.
