Associate of Applied Science
Degree Program
In collaboration with:
DMC Sinai-Grace Hospital School
of Radiologic Technology
Providence Hospital
St. John Hospital & Medical Center
Radiologic Technology requirements for the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) certification in Radiography
requires candidates to have earned, minimally, an associate degree from an academic institution that is accredited by an
accrediting agency recognized by ARRT.
Macomb Community College partners with the DMC Sinai-Grace Hospital, Providence Hospital, and St. John Hospital & Medical
Center to grant an Associate of Applied Science in Radiologic Technology.
ASSOCIATE OF APPLIED SCIENCE DEGREE REQUIREMENTS
(Minimum 64 Semester Hours)
In this collaboration, Macomb will prepare students by providing the necessary prerequisite and general education courses
(34 credits). A minimum of 15 semester credits must be completed at Macomb. The student will then complete the hospital-based
clinical and didactic components of the degree and be granted a block of 30 semester credits.
Upon successful completion of all components, the student will be eligible to apply for graduation with an Associate of Applied
Science in Radiologic Technology.
Graduates will be eligible to apply for the ARRT certification examination offered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology
to become certified radiologic technologists.
APPLICATION DEADLINE
All prerequisite courses must be completed during the Fall semester prior to your hospital-based program application. The
College application deadline is February 1. Hospital-based program application deadlines vary, and additional information
is required by each hospital. Please follow the website links listed on the next page for further information.
All applications must be complete to be considered for admission to a hospital-based program. If a student wishes to apply for
more than one hospital-based program, an individual application must be submitted for each program.
By signing the application, applicants agree that Macomb Community College will generate all transcripts to be released to hospital
programs for admission review.
Applications are available through Macomb’s Health, Science and Technology Department. For courses taken outside of Macomb,
an official transcript must be sent to the Macomb address on the next page.
Once a student is accepted in a hospital-based clinical, they are no longer eligible for financial aid through Macomb. The hospitals
do not offer financial aid. Contact a specific hospital for more details, including current tuition and other costs.
