Math Homework Night!
Welcome to Eureka Common Core math homework night at AC Primary.
We will be discussing several math related items. Below you will see an outline that will help guide you this evening. Please
feel free to take notes and write down any questions you have as we go. We will answer questions at the end our evening.
 Review of AC homework policy
Homework shall be initiated at the primary level and increased gradually as the child progresses through school. Homework
shall be assigned on a regular basis.
 Summary of Eureka Common Core Math Curriculum
Problem set (Completed in class, often whole group)
Exit ticket (Completed in class, individually: This demonstrates child’s understanding of lesson)
Templates & Fluency (Often used as a game/activity during class time)
Dashes and Sprints (Completed in class with a time limit)
Homework (Needs to be completed nightly at home)
*If it doesn’t say Homework, then don’t do it at home!*

Many questions arose from our AC Primary math homework night held on Wednesday, September
17th. We are in the process of compiling the questions and answers. Please stay tuned for answers
as well as math vocabulary and language picture definitions. Your patience and understanding is
appreciated during this transition time. It is a learning process for all of us.
