Pierre BADEL
I am currently Associate Professor of biomechanics at Mines Saint-Etienne. I am specialized in soft
tissue biomechanics with expertise in computational mechanics applied to finite deformations. I
have accomplished interesting advances in research, in textile mechanics for composite applications
and, since 2009, in soft tissue biomechanics and related vascular medicine/surgery and medical
device applications. I co-supervise PhD students with my colleagues of the Center for Biomedical and
Healthcare Engineering.
