Contingent Members: 14 – 17 years of Age as at 28th of July 2015. 2. International Services Team Members: 18 year as at 28th of July 2015 and above. The Participant Cost Structures Cost structures will be determined by various elements that make up the entire cost and would be as follows: Serial Cost Elements Amount (Dollars) 01 Cost of Travelling from Nigeria (Lagos/Abuja) to $2400 as at April Fukuoka Japan 2014 02 Cost of Contingents participation $250 per person $250 (25,000 Yen) for Category A Countries (25,000 Yen) 03 Cost of Purchasing Tents $130 per tent, (13,000 $130 (13,000 Yen) Yen) though can house two people, but the sake of ownership, it will be 1 tent to 1 participant. 04 Cost of Insurance of each Contingent 05 Cost of International Travelling Passport + Cost of $155 Visa to Japan 06 Cost of Uniforms + Administrative Fees & Charges $300 07 TOTAL FEES $3,285.00 $50 The Participant Cost Structures: Naira Equivalent Serial Cost Elements Amount (Naira) 01 Cost of Travelling from Nigeria (Lagos/Abuja) to N412,000:00 as at Fukuoka Japan April 2014 02 Cost of Contingents participation $250 per person N43,000:00 for Category A Countries (25,000 Yen) 03 Cost of Purchasing Tents $130 per tent, (13,000 N22,360:00 Yen) though can house two people, but the sake of ownership, it will be 1 tent to 1 participant. 04 Cost of Insurance of each Contingent 05 Cost of International Travelling Passport + Cost of N26,660:00 Visa to Japan 06 Cost of Uniforms + Administrative Fees & Charges N51,600:00 07 TOTAL FEES N564,220:00 N8,600:00 The Payment Structures The intending participants are to pay a commitment fee of $250 being the equivalent of participating fee of 25,000 Yen for Category “A” Countries. (A category “A” Country is a Country that her per capita income is less than $1000, and Nigeria falls within same). • Payment attracts 5% Discount if paid on or before 30th of June 2014 • Payment attracts 0% Discount if paid by 1st July 2014 to 31st March 2015. • Payment attracts 5% Penalty if paid 1st April 2015 to 30th of June 2015 NO PAYMENT WILL BE ACCEPTED AGAIN AFTER THE 30TH OF JUNE 2015 The Cost Conditions • Please be informed that we are working with different Airlines with good Safety Standards to negotiate down the Airfare to a reasonable amount that could be affordable by all. • $250 (25,000 Yen) being the mandatory participation fee of each participant that must be paid before June ending to enjoy 5% discount; and no discount after June 2014 till March ending 2015 after which a 5% increment on the fee will be charged on the participation fee. • The plan is to Waive the Visa Fee when NSO register emblock on the Jamboree Spreadsheet in time. • Individual having Travelling Passports already will pay less of $120 being the cost of Travelling Passport. • Most of the payments are to be made in Naira at the current exchange rate of $1=N172 except the participating fee of $250 that must be remitted into the Scout Association of Nigeria Dollar Account, for onward transfer to Japan. The Registration Process: No single individual is authorized to register separately on the internet; this will lead a lot of Logistics Coordination problems and NSO will not be responsible. However the Contingents Management Team will choose a Spread Sheet Management Administrator for Nigeria participants, all the participating Fee of $250 will be paid first into the Scout Association of Nigeria Account with Sterling Bank (number to be provided) and a form will be sent to the participant for completion. Completed Form will be scanned with the copy of the payment teller and Passport page of participant to the following email addresses: info@nigeriascout.org, Nigeriascout__Nigeria@yahoo.com, ibfamk@yahoo.com, Glory.uruakpa@yahoo.com, Participants without Travelling Passports will be required to arrange with their State Scout Commissioners who will in turn work this with the Nigeria Immigration Service. The Participants Competencies Mgt. 1. Stage 1: Each State will organize a selection camp for intending participants from their State. The State Scout Commissioner & the State Training Commissioner to coordinate the selection. Training programs will cover Tenderfoot to Second Class and Proficiency Training Courses for the IST. 2. Stage 2: Each of the Six Geopolitical Zones will organize a Zonal Selection Camp that intending participants will be trained and tested in Second, First Classes & Proficiency Courses for IST. The Zonal Training Commissioners (ANTCs) to coordinate this with the Zonal Assistant Chief Commissioners. 3. Stage 3: National Selections Camp will be organized by the National Scout Training Team. Intending participants will be trained and tested in First Class & Proficiency Courses. The National Training Commissioner and Assistant Chief Commissioner Adult Resources & Training will coordinate this. Jamboree Marketing Strategies Strategy 1: The State Scout Commissioners to provide a minimum of Five (5) Names from their States Scout Council. 37 (36 States + Abuja FCT) X 5 = 185 Participants in the ratio 10 participants to 1 Leader. Strategy 2: Mega Marketing through all States of Nigeria and Abuja FCT. Projected participants = 200 participants. Strategy 3: Marketing of the International Services Team members that have the quick affordability of the Cost vis-àvis good Scout Integrity and Knowledge. Jamboree Participation payment time-line 1. Payment of the Jamboree fee of $250 per participant: From 28th of April 2014 NB: The Scout Association Account number that money will be paid into shall be communicated before 25th of April 2014. 2. Participating documentations will be sent to participants that have paid their Contingent fees of $250 per person. 4.
