WELCOME
FLIPS™ XB are transforming the way you interact with your music. Listen alone in Headphone Mode or flip
to share your music with others in Speaker Mode. Powerful neodymium speakers blast sound like a boom
box, with an added bass resonator to really make them loud!
CONTENTS
(1) FLIPS™ XB headphones, (1) USB cable, (1) travel case, (1) removable audio cable with microphone.
INSTRUCTIONS
Turn the volume of your music device all the way down. Plug in and wear as headphones. Increase volume
slowly to the desired level. You can adjust the band to fit.
The unique feature of the FLIPS™ XB headphones is that you can use as ordinary headphones but also
share your music like a boom box. Remove headphones from your head. With your music device
connected, place on a flat surface and flip both ear cups out (BOTH ear cups must be rotated) to activate
the external speakers. The LED light will turn blue to indicate speaker mode activation. Adjust ear cups to
desired angle and increase to desired volume. Your music will blast out at a higher volume for all to hear.
Flipping back to Headphone Mode is as simple as rotating the ear cups back to their original position.
Make sure the blue LED light is off prior to placing on your head. Always leave in headphone or collapsed
storage position to automatically preserve battery life. In Speaker Mode, your FLIPS™ XB will shut off
automatically after 6 minutes without an audio signal from your device.
RECHARGING
Unlike most unpowered headphones, FLIPSTM XB combines a headphone with a powerful amplified
speaker. The speaker is energized by a durable rechargeable Li Polymer battery. Like all batteries, it
will eventually need recharging. The blue blinking LED will signal it is time for a charge to continue
use in speaker mode. Recharging is simple- flip out the speaker on the side with the audio jack, to
expose the USB port. Plug the supplied micro USB cable into this port, and the other end into a USB
charger or any other USB powered device (not included).
A blinking RED LED light will turn on during charging, and turn SOLID RED when fully charged. This
will take approx. 3 hrs. You may charge while also listening to music in Speaker Mode, although
charging time may increase.
The longer you listen to music in Speaker Mode, or the louder
the volume, the more often you should recharge your
FLIPSTM XB. If the volume decreases or stops in Speaker Mode,
the blinking blue LED will indicate the headset should be
recharged. Note the FLIPSTM XB will still function perfectly in
headset mode for many hours of enjoyment, even if the battery
power is low. However, you should recharge as soon as
possible to make sure the FLIPSTM XB continues to work in
Headset Mode.
Flipping into Headphone Mode, or collapsing for storage,
automatically reduces power for longest battery life. Your
FLIPS™ XB will shut off automatically after 6 minutes without an
audio signal from your device.

REMOVABLE AUDIO CABLE WITH MICROPHONE
The removable audio cable includes a microphone for use with a mobile phone. For the microphone
to work properly, the cable should be plugged into the Flips™ XB using the plug closest to the
microphone. The end away from the microphone plugs into the cell phone.
The microphone on the audio cable includes a button for activating and toggling Play/Pause for the
music player on most mobile phones. When a phone call is received, pressing the button once
answers the call. Pressing the button a second time drops the call.
The plug closest to the microphone has 2 black spacers between the metal contacts. The plug that
goes into the mobile phone has 3 white spacers between the metal contacts.
