This range is designed with the latest generation of components: accessible hermetic twin screw compressors, modulating capacity control, communicating control and management by Xtra Connect microprocessor, components optimized for the ecological refrigerant HFC R134a. This range is also proposed with an integrated hydraulic module: POWERCIAT LXH. This one includes all the elements required for a right operation of the unit : buffer tank, expansion vessel, single or twin pump, air vent , pressure relief valves , shut off valves , manometers... This optional equipment is only available on request, and factory mounted. ■ Diagram of the refrigerant circuit The following refrigeration diagram describes an example of a CIAT unit, with desuperheater (on each refrigerant circuit). The heat recovery is possible only if the machine is running. For the same cooling or heating capacity, the desuperheater system allows a free heating of hot water with a reduction of the total input power of the machine. Thus, it is recommended to have a hydraulic diagram making it possible to obtain very quickly a hot water at the inlet of the desuperheater (3-way valve + controller + temperature sensor on the exchanger water inlet) The controller set point must be adjusted to +50°C minimum. circuit. The air-cooled condenser is placed upline of the air-cooled condenser on each circuit to recover all the heat released by the unit. This option is available on cooling-only version units only. Refrigeration circuit diagram The refrigeration diagram below shows a unit equipped with a water-cooled heat-recovery condenser on each refrigeration circuit. For heat recovery to be possible, the unit must be operating. For the same cooling capacity, the heat-recovery condenser provides a source of free hot water and lowers the unit's electrical power consumption. Models 3050X HPS to 4800X HPS available the second half of 2009 Hydraulic connections: configuration and precautions In order to ensure that the unit can start and operate under the proper conditions, the recovery condenser water loop must be as short as possible. The gradual warm-up must, in all cases, always ensure a water inlet temperature of at least +20°C. We therefore recommend a hydraulic circuit configuration that makes it possible to achieve hot water at this temperature in the heat-recovery condenser (three-way valve + thermostat + sensor on heat-recovery condenser water inlet. If necessary, install the unit on anti-vibration mounts and equip the hydraulic pipes with flexible connectors (recommended equipments) Models 4850X HPS to 6600X HPS are delivered as two modules to be connected on site. NOTE : With the antifreeze protection, the unit is not protected against freezing anymore if there is an electrical supply failure.
