ORTHOstat is the latest individual orthopaedic insole from
ABEBA according to EN ISO 20345:2007 and 20347:2007.
Do you wear certified shoes and need an individually
customised orthopaedic insole?
The BG Regulation 191 revised in 2007 requires that shoes
used with customised orthopaedic insole be inspected to
ensure that they still comply with the requirements of the EN
ISO 20345:2007 or EN ISO 20347:2007 standard.
Not with ABEBA shoes
ABEBA was the first to recognize this problem, find solutions
and continue to advance them. We have developed an insole
in close cooperation with a specialized orthopaedic company www.doppler-online.com - which not only
allows for individual customisation: your ABEBA-shoe remains
certified according to the EN ISO standard.
Standards – more than just numbers, they offer safety!
The personal protective equipment (PSE) guidelines guarantee
your safety at work.
Inserting a third-party insole into ABEBA shoes constitutes an
infringement of the BGR 191. This can result in a lapse in
certification and as such of your insurance protection at the
workplace.

The level of charge generated is influenced by atmospheric humidity (%RH). When humidity is low, charge
will be greater and more damaging.
According to the ESD DIN EN 61340 standards, the ESD
co-ordinator in the company must take into account
both best and worse climatic conditions, for instance
minimum temperature with minimum relative humidity
or maximum termperature with maximum relative
humidity, in order to test if the parameters of ESD protection are continuously in line with the standards.

ESD Electrostatic Discharge (elektrostatische Entladung)
Shoes are classed as ESD shoes when the on-state resistance value
of the system person-shoe-floor is under 3,5 x 107 or 35 MOhm
according to EN 61340-5-1 (verification).
The qualification of the shoes is made depending on the climate
classifications 1 (15% relative humidity), 2 (25% relative humidity) and 3 (50% relative humidity) according to EN 61340-4-3 <
108 Ohm.
Shoes used for primary grounding in ESD protection must be
selected in combination with the floor covering to be used so that
the combined resistance to ground (Rg) is in the range required.
(Please, refer to the information leaflet in the carton.)
Warning: ESD shoes are not suitable for electricians respectively
when working on sources with electric voltage.
Attention should be paid to the different procedures of both of
the test methods: EN 61340-4-3 metal balls in the shoe on a
metal plate; EN 61340-5-1 human being in the shoes on a metal
plate or the floor used.

Latent damage
It is the damage caused by ESD to sensitive devices, which has the effect of reducing components
reliability without causing immediate failure.
The symbol has been used since 1984 and denotes
components and subassemblies that are
ESD susceptible.
“ESD SUSCEPTIBLE”
The symbol was introduced in addition to symbol No.
1 in 1993 and denotes ESD protective products such
as anti-static mats, trucks, clothing, protective covering, cartons, materials,
etc.
“ESD PROTECTIVE”
For the daily function testing of the shoes the use of test stations
has been established. There the resistance of person and shoe is
measured. Attention should be paid to the separate measuring to
the feet.

The DIN 4843 part 100 determines the safety requirements
and testing procedures for the non-slip properties of safety,
protective and occupational footwear in Germany
In October 2004, the new harmonised EN ISO 2034420347:2004 standard was issued and already in the year 2005
some PSA standards were revised. In the standard EN ISO
20344-20347:2007 the slip resistance limits are defined since
February 2008.

The above-mentioned specification clearly identifies the testing
devices and conditions with regard to the floor covering and
type of slip-promoting agents. Measurements are taken on a
angle plane. The test person is secured to the testing device
with a safety belt. The plane, which can be equipped with
varying types of floor covering (e. g. steel surface, covered with
grease), slowly begins to tilt. The tilt continues until the test
person loses his hold. This test evaluates the accepted angle at
which the test person still feels safe. The test is conducted three
the
times;
average reading determines the basic value. If the shoes fulfil
these criteria, they may be described as more or less non-slip
(anti-slip).
For this purpose, the test shoe is fixed in a measuring device
and is drawn over the various test floorings. The established
value is called slip coefficient (sliding security factor = quotient
of resisting [holding] and attacking [pushing] horizontal forces).
What is also new is that tests are performed on various flooring
materials such as metal plates covered with oil or glycerine, tiles
covered with water etc.
