Miss Marion J. Hill, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William J.
Hill, 43 St. .Marks avenue, and Robert Ruger, son of Mr. and
Mrs. John Ruger, 64 Nassau avenue, were married irf Christ
Lutheran Church Saturday afternoon. Mr. Hill gave his daughter
in marriage, and the Rev. Eugene K Strebel, pastor, performed
the nuptial ceremony.

Elects Next Tuesday
The Freeport Auxiliary of South
Nassau Communities Hospital will
hold* its regular monthly meeting
Tuesday, November 18, at 1:30 o'clock the board room at the hospital
in Oceanside.
There will be a plastic demonstration and the election of officers for
the coming year. Mrs. F. Howard

An urgent appeal for additional
volunteers for the 1953 March of
Dimes campaign was made today
by Mrs,. George A. Stevenson of
Floral Park, chairman of the $225,000 fund appeal for polio victims.

of the National Foundation for Infantile Paralysis and its Nassau
County Chapter Is now under .way,
Mrs. Stevenson said, but more workers are needed in every Nassau community.
"Demands upon the National
Foundation treasury this year have
depleted funds that were raised
early in 1952. Chapters all over the
country have had to draw upon the
epidemic aid fund of the Foundation because the nation has been
through the worst polio outbreak in
its history," Mrs. 'Stevenson declared.
"It has never been so vital that
we make our quota as it is now. We
must do our share to. carry on the
Foundation's life-saving work, its
important research and education.
