ONLINE TRAINING How to use a Course Key Course Keys are randomized strings of digits and numbers designed to help you manage your access to your Online Training courses. You will use a Course Key to add an Online Training Course to your account if: 1) Someone else, like your employer, has purchased an Online Training Course for you. 2) You have purchased an Online Training Course, but did not want to start it right away. 1. You will receive your Course Key in an email from learn@behavioraltech.org. IMPORTANT: Your term of access to the course (between 1 and 12 months, depending on what you have ordered) will begin once you add this key to your account. If you do not want to start the course immediately, then you wait to use your Course Key until you’re ready to start your learning. 1 Highlight and copy the Course Key to your Clipboard (you can right-click and then click “Copy” to do this). 2. Go to https://behavioraltech.org/myaccount/index.cfm and sign in to your account. 2 Behavioral Tech | www.behavioraltech.org Phone: 206.675.8588 | Email: learn@behavioraltech.org ONLINE TRAINING: How to use a Course Key 3. Will I enter the Course Key every time I sign in to the course? No. Once you have used the Course Key, the course is permanently added to your account, and you will not need to enter it again. 2. Do I need to wait for approval from my Supervisor/Course Key Administrator before I can start the course? No. Use of Course Key immediately adds the course to your account. Your administrator will receive an email to let them know you’ve used the Course Key. 3. I got a message that says: “There are no unused licenses for the Course Key you entered. Please contact your group's administrator to see if another Course Key is available.” That message means that there are no more courses left to use under the Course Key (a single Course Key can be used to assign a course to 1 or 20 Behavioral Tech accounts, it depends on what your administrator purchased). If you’ve accessed the course before, you don’t need to apply the course key again. Make sure you’re using the same account Behavioral Tech account (the same email address) that you used when you first signed in to Online Training. Then go back to the My Account: Online Training page and click on the big blue “Go To Online Learning” button. If you never used the course key and haven’t accessed the course yet, let your administrator know that there are no more courses left to use under the Course Key. Your administrator can contact Behavioral Tech at 206.675.8588 or learn@behavioraltech.org to purchase more courses or to receive help if there should be more courses available based on their records. 4. Will I have to use the Course Key if I want to access the course from a different computer than the one I normally use? Can I access the course from my home computer? Do I need access to my work email to get into my online training course? No. You will be able to access your course from any computer where you can log into your account at www.behavioraltech.org. You should use the same login information, though, so if you are using your work email for your Behavioral Tech account, enter that as your username and your password. Then go to the My Account: Online Training page and click on the big blue “Go To Online Learning” button. Behavioral Tech | www.behavioraltech.org Phone: 206.675.8588 | Email: learn@behavioraltech.org
